All Die Young — a Supernatural story

OC DESCRIPTION

Maisie Maharaj

1. She is the mother of Grace, Selene, and Lenora

2. Grace has a different father than Selene and Lenora

3. Maisie has Afro-Trinidadian and Indo-Trinidadian ancestry

4. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago but came to the States for a new future

5. She met Grace's father at a fairly young age and got pregnant fairly quickly

6. Things ended before Grace's birth

7. She met Selene's and Lenora's father four years after Grace's birth

8. Maisie got pregnant after 6 months of being together

9. She died in childbirth

10. She had knowledge of the supernatural, though she wasn't a hunter

11. Maisie was more interested in the lore than actual killing

12. Maisie knew that if her children grew up knowing the supernatural, they should at least know how to defend themselves

13. If the Maharaj children didn't know of the supernatural, then self defense would just be a fun pass-time

Grace Maharaj

1. She is the eldest of the Maharaj siblings

2. She has two younger half-sisters, twins Selene and Lenora Maharaj

3. Like her sisters, Grace has Afro-Trinidadian and Indo-Trinidadian ancestry

4. Unlike her sisters, Grace also has Dutch and Irish ancestry

5. Grace is an average human, though

6. No supernatural abilities of any kind

7. But that doesn't mean she has no knowledge of the supernatural

8. Grace has mixed feelings when it comes to all of that

9. But despite those mixed feelings, she knows how to defend herself should it come to that

10. When Maisie died giving birth to Selene and Lenora, Grace took up responsibility in raising them

11. At least, alongside their foster father

12. Grace has no interest in hunting and only wants to live a normal life

13. She was born October 4, 1983

Lenora Maharaj

1. Lenora is the eldest twin and the second oldest child to Maisie Maharaj

2. She's older than her sister, Selene, by 12 minutes

3. Like Grace and Selene, Lenora has Afro-Trinidadian and Indo-Trinidadian

4. Unlike Grace, Selene and Lenora do not have Dutch or Irish ancestry

5. That's because Selene and Lenora have a different father than Grace

6. Selene's and Lenora's biological father is not involved in their lives

7. After Maisie died in childbirth — giving birth to the twins — the Maharaj siblings were taken in by a family friend

8. This family friend is the closest they've had to a real father

9. Lenora knows of the supernatural and chose to drop out of school — albeit she got a GED — to hunt them

10. She shows no desire to settle down or have a normal life

11. Lenora and Selene are biracial

12. Selene and Lenora were born January 10, 1987

Selene Maharaj

1. The youngest of Maisie's children

2. Lenora is older than her by 12 minutes and Grace is older than both of them by 4 years

3. Like Lenora and Grace, Selene has Indo-Trinidadian and Afro-Trinidadian ancestry

4. But she does not have Irish or Dutch ancestry like Grace

5. Selene is like a mixture of Grace, Lenora, and Maisie in a lot of ways

6. Like the rest of her family, she knows of the supernatural

7. She enjoys hunting like Lenora, she wants to eventually live a normal life like Grace is currently doing, but she's also interested in the lore of the supernatural as well

8. Hunting for Selene is just a passing fad

9. She thinks she'll get out of it in time, that it's not a permanent fixture in her life

10. Remember how I've been mentioning that Grace and the twins have different fathers? And that Maisie died in childbirth? There's a reason for that

11. That will be explored in the story, I don't want to give away too much info

12. Anywho, Selene never dropped out of school like Lenora

13. She finished school with high marks

14. Does Selene have actual hobbies? Ones that don't involve monsters or hunting? Of course she does! She enjoys dancing — ballet in particular — and hopes to become a professional dancer

15. The girls' foster father had the sisters do martial arts training — whatever interested them the most — and took them to the lessons as frequently as possible

16. Selene did mixed martial arts

OC APPEARANCE

Maisie Maharaj

1. She was dark skinned with curly black hair and deep brown eyes

2. She stood at around 5 ft. 8 inches tall and had a slender build

3. She tried to stay in the best shape possible, even while she was pregnant

4. Her pregnancy with Lenora and Selene made it difficult to stay in shape, only because of difficulties as the months went on

5. Maisie's hair was not that long, maybe ending a little above her shoulders

Grace Maharaj

1. Grace is light skinned, since she is biracial

2. She has dark brown hair that ends at her waist

3. She has light brown eyes and is around 5 ft. 5 inches in height

4. In terms of body type, Grace is average; not too skinny but not too heavy

Lenora Maharaj

1. She is also light skinned, just like Grace

2. She has black hair that is curly and ends just at her forearms

3. She is slender

4. She has brown eyes

5. A scar runs from a little beneath her left eye to the corner of her mouth

6. Lenora is 5 ft. 6 inches

Selene Maharaj

1. In terms of skin pigmentation, Selene's is a bit darker than her sisters', but could still be considered "light skinned" in some regards

2. Does that make sense? Let me know if it doesn't

3. I don't know, I'm trying to make this easy for myself and all of you

4. Her hair is black and styled like a pixie cut

5. Like, google how Janelle Monáe's hair looked when it was a pixie cut, and that's how Selene's hair looks

6. Selene has a slender/athletic build with light brown eyes

7. She's like 5 ft. 4 inches in regards to height

OC WEAKNESSES

Maisie Maharaj

1. Maisie was human

2. 100% human

3. Because of this little detail, the chances of Maisie dying from serious injuries were extremely high

4. Doesn't matter if it's injuries from humans or monsters, if it's severe enough, she'll die

5. If it's not severe then she'll be in a lot of pain

6. But yeah

7. Maisie's death will be explored in the story

Grace Maharaj

1. Grace is human, too

2. Which means the chances of her dying from serious injuries are also very high

3. Which means she has to be very careful or she could be dead in an instant

4. Of course, injuries aren't the only things that can cause death

5. I'm not saying that to be ominous to Grace or anything I'm just pointing that out as like a general thing

Lenora Maharaj

1. Lenora is a living creature, which means she can die

2. She'll make it difficult, but it can happen

Selene Maharaj

1. Like Lenora, Selene can die but she'll make it very difficult

OC ABILITIES

Maisie Maharaj

1. She wasn't much of a fighter, but she had a vast understanding of the supernatural world

2. I don't know if that counts as an ability though

3. She could name off different monsters and the different ways to kill them

4. It could be helpful though

5. Maisie made sure to document her findings and was pretty organized with it all

Grace Maharaj

1. Since Grace is a human, she has no special abilities to make life easier for her

2. She can, however, use guns with relative ease

3. She can also use knives and any other sharp objects with ease and knows the weaknesses of the human body and a monster's body

4. She can put up a fight if she needs to

Lenora Maharaj

1. She is skilled with various kinds of weapons, since she's a devoted hunter

2. She can make a weapon out of anything

3. She knows the protective symbols and the banishing symbols

4. Lenora is also good at hand-to-hand combat if it were to come to that

5. Her and Selene's background will be explored more and this will be expanded

Selene Maharaj

1. For the most part, Selene tries to avoid physical conflict

2. She knows being a hunter means that little bit is unavoidable, but she really tries to avoid it

3. Since she and her sisters have a bit of background in self defense, they technically can fight back

4. But for Selene, she stopped mixed martial arts once she turned seventeen

5. At that point, she'd been doing it for a number of years

6. And that was on top of her dance lessons, too

7. But yeah, Selene tries to avoid fights if she can help it

8. Not 'cause she's incapable, but because she hates conflict

9. Selene's and Lenora's background will be explored more, and this will be expanded

ADDITIONAL INFO

1. The Maharaj siblings grew up in Sioux Falls with their foster father

2. I guess I could call him their adoptive father or just their father, but I dunno

3. Just know that the Maharaj siblings, after Maisie's death, traveled to South Dakota to live with an old friend of their mother's

4. He raised them as his own

Torn and Frayed — an Ouran High School Host Club story

OC DESCRIPTION

Rani Rose Yamamoto

1. Her first name, Rani, is pronounced as "Ronnie"

2. She has Afro-Venezuelan and Japanese ancestry

3. Her mother's name is Maria Suarez

3. Her father's name is Kyo Yamamoto

4. Her parents never officially married, so that makes Rani a bastard

5. She is multilingual

6. She can speak Japanese, Spanish, and English fluently

7. Since her parents never officially married, that means Maria had to raise Rani alone

8. Kyo didn't stick around for a multitude of reasons

9. He did not give any kind of financial support to help Maria out

10. At around 8 or 9 years old, Rani was taken from her mother and put into foster care

11. She was eventually sent to live with a paternal uncle

12. Spanish is Rani's first language, Japanese is her second, and English is the last one she learns

13. There is a lot of misfortune in Rani's life

14. She has no contact with Kyo

15. She has no contact with Maria

16. Things are not good

17. She's attempting to learn basic sign language

Aimi Yamamoto

1. She is Rani's daughter

2. She was born under unfortunate circumstances

3. She's progressively losing her ability to hear

4. She only knows a few words, only being 18 months at the moment

5. She's a generally happy child

6. She mostly has Japanese ancestry with only a bit of Afro-Venezuelan ancestry

7. She's slowly learning sign language alongside her mother

Maria Suarez

1. She is Rani's mother and Aimi's grandmother

2. She was born in Venezuela and has African ancestry

3. She's fluent in Spanish and knows some Japanese

4. She became a Japanese citizen shortly after Rani's birth

5. Because Rani's father had no involvement in his daughter's life, not even helping Maria financially, Maria became bitter and distant

6. She wasn't the best influence in Rani's life

7. Lost custody of Rani when she was around 8 or 9 years old

8. After Rani was removed from the home, Maria cut off all contact with her

Fujio Yamamoto

1. He is Rani's uncle

2. Her paternal uncle

3. Hopefully, at the end of the story's first chapter, you realized that he's also Aimi's father

4. He's abusive and manipulative

5. Rani was 12 when he became her legal guardian

6. She was allowed to live with him after her 10th birthday

7. He knows how to put on a good front to fool others

8. He can speak English and Japanese fluently

9. He is the younger brother of Rani's father

10. He was, essentially, disowned by his family for a number of reasons

11. He's always been bitter towards his family b/c of that

Kyo Yamamoto

1. He is Rani's father and Aimi's grandfather

2. He's Japanese and comes from a well off family

3. He met Maria shortly after she came to Japan

4. He has a younger brother, Fujio, and an older sister, Izumi

5. The Yamamoto family are known for their involvement in financial and law area(s)

6. So they're basically successful lawyers and accountants/financial advisers/investors/etc.

7. So saying they're well off is putting it lightly

8. ANYWHO

9. Kyo and Maria's relationship could be seen as a "summer romance" kind of thing

10. They were 100% committed to each other for a short period of time but it eventually fizzled out

11. For Kyo it did, at least

12. Maria was already pregnant when he called off the relationship

13. A main reason he left Maria, aside from his feelings fading, was because of his own family

14. Pressures coming from a wealthy family were starting to catch up to him

15. He couldn't hold it off and he had to figure out what was more important — his family or Maria and the baby?

OC APPEARANCE

Rani Rose Yamamoto

1. She has light brown skin and dark brown eyes

2. Her hair is dark and curly, a bit unruly as well

3. She's slender and short, maybe 5 ft. 3 inches

4. Her hair isn't very long

5. You guys know the actress Zazie Beetz, right? She played Domino in Deadpool 2? She's gonna be in Joaquin Phoenix's Joker?

6. Well Rani's hair is similar to Zazie's when it's just natural

7. I know I'm kinda obsessing over the hair aspect of my OC, and I'm sorry

8. This whole section will be updated throughout the story's progression so there'll be more little bits of info added in

Aimi Yamamoto

1. Her skin is a lighter brown when compared to Rani's

2. Her hair is wavy and black

3. She has gray eyes

Maria Suarez

1. Maria has dark skin and deep brown eyes

2. Her hair is black and usually pinned back

3. She's tall, maybe 5 ft. 8 inches

4. She is also slender, still retaining that figure even after giving birth to Rani

5. After the abandonment of Rani's father, she started to lose control of herself

6. Her appearance changed drastically and so did her attitude

Fujio Yamamoto

1. He is somewhere in his mid to late thirties

2. He has thick black hair and dark gray eyes

3. He's pale and thin

4. He's like a chameleon, always changing how he looks and behaves so he can blend into his surroundings

Kyo Yamamoto

1. He's in his early forties at least

2. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes

3. He's pale and in fairly good shape

4. He is a kind and stoic kinda guy, ya know?

5. He is 5 ft. 11 inches

ADDITIONAL INFO

1. Rani's background will be explored in the story

2. This story was mostly inspired by the 2013 movie Gimme Shelter

3. I want this story to actively show Aimi growing up, but I don't want to rush into anything too quickly

4. Fujio is one of those characters that won't give up, even if he has nothing to lose

5. When Rani first started living with Fujio, she didn't see the red flags at first

6. Her uncle spent a bit of time grooming her before he showed his true colors
