Ginny: He’s covered in blood again. Why is it he’s always covered in blood?
Ron:Well, it looks like it’s his own this time.

McGonagall: Why is it, that whenever anything happens, it’s always you three?
Ron: Believe me, Professor, I’ve been asking myself that same question for six years.

Harry: What if I wave my wand and nothing happens?
Ron: Throw it away and punch him on the nose.

Ron: What was that?
Harry: It was either a very big cat, or quite a small tiger.

Hermione: Professor, we've just had our first Divination class, and we were reading the tea leaves, and —
McGonagall:Ah, of course. There is no need to say any more, Miss Granger. Tell me, which of you will be dying this year?

Wood: Bad news, Harry. I've just been to see Professor McGonagall about the Firebolt. She, er, got a bit shirty with me. Told me I'd got my priorities wrong. Seemed to think I cared more about winning the Cup than I do about you staying alive. Just because I told her I didn't care if it threw you off, as long as you caught the Snitch first. Honestly, the way she was yelling at me... you'd think I'd said something terrible.

Arthur: Oh, I am glad I'm not on duty. I wouldn't fancy having to go and tell the Irish they've got to stop celebrating.

Dumbledore: I make mistakes like the next man. In fact, being — forgive me — rather cleverer than most men, my mistakes tend to be correspondingly huger.

Vernon: Do I look like the sort of man who can be intimidated?
Mad-Eye: Yes, I’d have to say you do, Dursley.

Ginny: Well, you seemed too busy to call him a prat and I thought someone should.

Harry: If you think I’m going to let six people risk their lives –
Ron: – because it’s the first time for all of us...

Krum: Vot is the point of being an international Quidditch player if all the good-looking girls are taken?

Hermione: You — complete — *arse* — Ronald — Weasley!

Thoughts on ‘Ships

Harry/Ginny? Love it, particularly the awkwardness for Ron.
Harry/Hermione? Just no... as he himself says, they’re more like brother and sister.
Harry/Luna? Very funny thought, but no. Am I the only one who thinks she had a crush on him in book five/six?
Harry/Pansy? *vomits*

Ron/Hermione? Inevitable from the start, and I love that they probably bicker like mad between the romantic bits.
Ron/Lavender? Fun to write about in context (ie. In the sixth book), but otherwise, no.
Ron/Luna? Again, funny, but no.
Ron/Pansy? Y’know, I don’t think I’ve got anything left to vomit this time.
Ron/Fleur? Rather creepy.

Hermione/Krum? “Herm-own-ninny” anyone?
Hermione/Draco? Ah, there it is, there is some left. *vomits*
Hermione/Fred? Only as a cruel practical joke on Ron.
Hermione/George? See above.

James/Lily? Love the story in that one.

Lily/Snape? Nope. (Poor Severus)
Lily/Sirius? James would murder him. End of.
Lily/Lupin? I kinda like the idea of this, seeing as Lily apparently befriended Remus while she still hated James/Sirius.

Tonks/Lupin? Major age gap, but rather sweet and funny nonetheless. (Well, that’s the point, isn’t it?)

Draco/Pansy? Even the ferret can do better than her.

Fred/Angelina? I kind of see this as a quick fling at the Yule Ball and not much more...
George/Angelina? There has to be a reason in there somewhere. Presumably it’s romantic.

Neville/Luna? Very cute and funny, one of the few non-canon ships I wholly support.
