I am Lawrence ‘rick' Phillips I have had type 1 diabetes for 42 years and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) for 16 years. RABlog week I write extensively for www.RADiabetes.com, www.TUDiabetes.org, and www.CreakyJoints.org. My views on these subjects are based on my personal experiences. I am proud that my life has been productive and happy. However, like most people with these diseases I have experienced many ups and downs.

I had a wonderful career in local government, and school administration. I have been privileged to serve the people in central Indiana in several capacities. I have participated in several economic development projects, labor negations, school building projects, and community development projects.

I earned Bachelor and Master degrees 1979 and 1989 from Indiana University and a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University 2012.
