After being brought back from the dead, Jim is tired of being stuck in the hospital and decides to make a break for it. Unfortunately for him, the sky chose today to send down buckets of rain on the poor captain. One shot of some Jim and Bones friendship, Uhura makes an appearance as well.

Kirk catches a non-deadly virus, but is allergic to the cure (naturally). He has to tough it out in sickbay, but the fever is bad, and the symptoms are worse. His crew tries to make him as comfortable as possible.

"Jim, you okay?" Bones whispered. Startled, Jim snapped his head around to look at his friend. His face as white as the poles of Andoria, his chest pulling in rapid breaths, forehead glistened with sweat. Below on them on stage Hamlet was in full swing, actors giving it there all. His eyes unfocused with raw, unbridled fear stared at the doctor. "Jim?"

Jim falls and breaks his ankle during a training exercise and Bones must patch him up.

Indecision made the decision for him. The burn of the lactic acid building up in his tissues was too much and his limbs stopped moving altogether. His denser muscles began pulling him down until he slipped beneath the water.

Academy era: Bones gets a call from from an injured Jim

Spock and Jim had to attend banquet which can't be missed among high ranking peer. McCoy tagged along to supervise, but Jim already is not well from start.

Jim's on a roll-five sleepless days fueled by little more than a coffee mix with dangerously high caffeine levels. He's desperate not to sleep despite the adverse health effects he's experiencing, and Bones is about to find out why. Post-STID.
