Months after Kerrigor's defeat, the new king and Abhorsen strive to repair the damages done to the Old Kingdom. Between political upheaval, countless dead, and a necromancer set on ending the abhorsen's line forever, neither Touchstone or Sabriel is quite sure what they've gotten themselves into.

They defeated the monster and won the battle. Touchstone knows the next step is happily ever after, but does Sabriel?
