Must be my beta-reader one that I'm thinking of - only one that counts really, as beta-reading is the only reason I bothered to put the silly bit of fic I wrote on this site anyway - so I could beta-read, and help other people who actually LIKE writing fanfiction improve their stuff. Don't read what I write - read what I help edit. It's much better.

I have a love/hate relationship with fanfiction - on the one hand, sometimes a bit of fanfic is exactly what you need when(yet again) a beloved show has been axed, or you've watched a movie three times and you just wonder 'what if...', or you need a little bit of something to engage you in the fandom you love and indulge your interests a bit. On the other hand, the amount of uncontrolled, utter DRIVEL that is out there...
