Some things about me: I'm a professional musician and teacher from the Philadelphia area. I grew up with the Harry Potter series, and just got into reading and writing fan fiction a few months ago. I play piano and sing, and spend most of my time teaching and directing shows.

Favorite Books: The Brother's Karamazov (Dostoyevsky), East of Eden (Steinbeck), A Passage to India (Forester), To Kill A Mockingbird (Lee), The Sound and the Fury (Faulkner), The Sun Also Rises (Hemingway), The Portrait of Dorian Gray (Wilde), Pride and Prejudice (Austen), and A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (Joyce). I would highly recommend all of them.

Favorite Classical Music: I'm a classical singer, so this is where most of my love lies. I'm especially fond of A German Requiem (Brahms), Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata, La Boheme by Puccini, The Magic Flute by Mozart, and anything by Josquin, Palestrina, or Montiverdi.

Favorite Popular Music: Muse is definitely my favorite band, but I also enjoy Billy Joel, Queen, and The Beatles. My guilty pleasures are the Spice Girls and Eminem.

Favorite TV Shows: I'm a gigantic Dr. Who fan. I only got into the series as Matt Smith was joining, but I've caught up with all of Tennant's episodes and most of Eccleston's. Others include Family Guy, South Park, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother (though I'm terribly behind on that one), Smash, and I'm also rather fond of Quantum Leap.

Favorite Movies: Donnie Darco, A Bronx Tale, Pan's Labyrinth, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The King's Speech, The Pianist, Up, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, Back to the Future.

Favorite Musicals: West Side Story, Titanic, Children of Eden, Les Miserables, Once on this Island, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, The Last 5 Years, Parade, A New Brain, Avenue Q, The Secret Garden, Seussical, Wicked, A Very Potter Musical.

I'm currently working on Harry Potter and the Resurgence of the Light, a promising story that I have a lot of ideas for. The first six chapters are nearly completed as of (5/14), and I'll continue to write and update as frequently as I can.

I have a few other stories I'm plotting out now, mostly Harry-centric and cannon-compliant, but I will be primarily focusing on HPRotL until then.
