I believe this is something everyone on here should aspire to. Sure, stories shouldn't be a 'popularity contest' over who has the most reviews, but if you are reading a story, you should take the time to write a little something. Whether it is three words long or three paragraphs, as that person has gone out of their way to write something that probably took several days to complete, it is only fair that we as readers write something in return that only takes a few seconds. It is the least we can do, and it means the most to writers.

My policy concerning reviews: Generally, I leave two types of reviews, depending on the story. Most of the time, I will leave a nice, friendly comment in a review with something I liked and move on. If it is a story where either A: it wow's me into submission, or B: the writer has asked for constructive feedback, then I will instead write several paragraphs on what I liked, what I didn't, and how I think they can improve (if I think anything even needs to be improved on).

Do you have Discord/Skype/Facebook/Whatever?
I do. I frequently use Discord for gaming, but I also use it to collaborate on and beta stories. PM me for details.

Can I talk to you about stuff that isn't writing-related?
Absolutely. I'm a social person, and whether or not it's work/writing related, I would love to hear from you. Want to talk about life, love, and everything in between? I can offer advice, or I will gladly take any advice you have. You can never have too much knowledge. Sometimes, it's easier to talk to a complete stranger than it is to talk to someone who knows you. I think of everyone as a potential friend, so please feel free to contact me anytime, about anything.

Will you read my story and review it?
Definitely. I get this request all the time, and I've never once refused it. Of course, I can't guarantee I will stick with your story. It depends on if it holds my interest or not. But I will most certainly take a look and give you a review with my thoughts concerning it.

Will you beta my story?
Beta, to me, is a much more difficult request because it requires I go far more in-depth than a typical review. To me, a beta reader is not just a proofreader, but also someone who will dissect a story and help with its general construction. As such, I do not give out that service very often. Don't let that scare you away, though. Feel free to ask, because I will always at least consider it. For further details on my beta specifications, see my beta profile.

Will you write a story for a specific pairing?
I get this one a lot. Sorry guys, but it's most likely going to be a no. While I do favor writing romance, I'm a slave to my muse. I can't go against it. I know how much it sucks to search for a story of a ship you want and not find nearly enough for it, but I unfortunately can't force content out. That, and if it's a pairing I'm just not interested in, then I definitely won't write for it. Not that I'm against any pairings (I love all ships), but only some of them actually inspire me to write something.

When will you write for Naruto again?
No guarantees here, but not for a long time, if ever again. I focused on Naruto on this site for like, seven years. And now that the manga is over, I'm ready to take a nice long rest from it myself, probably permanently. Sorry, but I won't be writing Naruto anymore (most likely).

When will you write for Hakuoki again?
Now that Dynasty Girl is complete, I'm taking it easy by editing and revising A Year of Silence and Sweet Silver Lining. No new stories planned as of yet.

3. Darkpetal16 (For sheer originality and ability to write SI/OC and make me devour every word. I don't get it, but it's awesome.)

2. Flaignhan (For ablity to write stories that are completely original, a bit out there, and yet miraculously in-character.)

1. firefly (For pure genius. She has a lot of humorous short stories for Naruto, and they're just... brilliant. Every last one.)

One-Shots

The top three most well-written, interesting, and entertaining one-shots I've ever read.

3. Sasuke is a Moron by Natarie, because all crack/parody stories should aim for this. It's ridiculous and yet realistic. It makes sense. And I died laughing.

2. A Day in the Life series by Tyramir, because they are all one-shots, particularly Reno's. They all manage to amuse you before hitting you in the feels.

1. Face Value by firefly, because it manages to take something so unlikely and frightening and make it truly, remarkably beautiful.

Other Notable Stories

These are some particular favorites of mine from various categories.

Naruto - Sasori x Sakura - The Infinite Perfection of Being by Renaerys. This is by far the best SasoSaku I've ever read. It is beautiful and realistic.

Harry Potter - Tom Riddle x Hermione Granger - Have a Nice Day! by Speechwriter. I'm a sucker for well-written AUs, and this one is pretty fantastic.

Avengers - Loki x Darcy - Funny That Way by LuvaGoodMrE. This has probably the best written interpretation of Marvel-Loki I've ever read. And it's hilarious.

Pokemon - Gary x Misty - Saving Shard by Maia's Pen. I really enjoyed the original plotline and the conflict in this story.

True Blood - Godric x Sookie - God of the Living Dead by IceK7-1. This is a two-part story that is nothing short of wonderful. It's my guilty pleasure.

Hakuoki - Okita x Chizuru - What is Enough by Calenlass Greenleaf. This is a two-shot story that has the best writing for Okita I've read so far.
