So, I finally got myself a fanfiction.net account so that I could post after about 5 years of reading all of the stuff on here. I love movies, books and television (though I try to stay away from the latter because I believe I would sit and watch it all day long until my brain turns to mush), and I live and breathe music. I have a handful of fandoms that I am obsessed with (Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Junjou Romantica and Black Butler being the most prominent), and I am about to try my hand at the wonderful fandom of Sherlock. I think its very important to mention that I am obsessed with slash. And I'm talking about OBSESSED. Every fandom that I enter into gets immediately slashified in my mind, shamelessly. I don't know exactly why that is...

My ultimate goal is to publish original pieces of work, anything from short stories to novels to screenplays or teleplays. I use fanfiction as a foundation for my writing skills because I like that the characters are pretty much already developed and I can just take them and put them in new situations to see how they develop and grow from there. It also gives me a good basis for relationship development between characters who are already set up, and that is one thing that I love about writing--seeing how the interaction between characters grows and changes with every decision and situation that the characters find themselves in. So far, all of my pieces of work on fanfic.net have been short stories, but I am working on changing that. My ultimate goal is to write a chapter length novel, and I am proud to say that I have come close to finishing a few, but the endings always seem to elude me. I plan of fixing that, though! Because, really, how can we ever expect to better ourselves if we don't push ourselves?
