A-Z one-shots of hurt/comfort stories between Sherlock and John. Perhaps Sherlock doesn't realise just how much he needs John. Or vice versa, for that matter. They are always there for each other, though of course, their friendship isn't without its obstacles and difficulties.

There are a thousand ways to tell someone you love them, only a few of which are vocal. Making tea for the object of your affection, for instance. Or not complaining about violin music at three AM. Or, of course, taking a bullet for them.

It was only when people actually saw John working as a physician that they began to understand: that it wasn't just about bullets and IEDs and trauma care under fire. That "doctor" actually covered a pretty wide field. And that John was bloody good at covering ground. 5 times Dr. Watson treated others and 1 time he treated himself.

When Sherlock sees John again he is torn between telling John of their past together, the past John has been forced to forget. When Scotland Yard stumbles across The Facility Sherlock will have to come clean about what he and John really are. No Slash! T for dark situations and violence here and there. Just as they are about to celebrate their first anniversary as a couple, John is seriously injured. Sherlock, and other's wait and hope for a happy outcome, while trying to find the responsible parties. S/J established relationship.
