Every year on the same date, the memories of an ambush in Afghanistan haunt Halstead and he goes down the rabbit hole hard. Upstead. One shot.

"All he could do was lie there, in the alley, in the cold. Waiting for someone to find him. Or, worse, waiting to die." Features dark themes, will also feature from Chicago Fire and Chicago Med characters from time to time.

A rare weekend off for Jay Halstead turns into a night he would forget, but one that Will Halstead and the Intelligence Unit would dream to never remember. It is a story of tragedy, determination/stubbornness, and family. A Jay whump story.

This is a oneshot that takes place right after Jay was shot in Chicago PD 6x02. I thought it would have been interesting to see an interaction between the Halstead brothers at Med and to see Will's reaction to Jay being brought into the ER so soon after losing their father. This is my first attempt at fan fiction, hope you enjoy it!

Tag to 6x01: Adam's and Ruzek's fight ended quickly, but Antonio still simmered in his anger and Jay's support was welcomed. "Someone was pulling him back, yelling in his ears for him to stop fighting, but Antonio didn't care. He knew that he was capable of being a leader and Adam constantly undermining him was getting on his last nerve."

Will is summoned from Med by Voight after Jay is injured and ends up as a hostage. Once there he's faced with saving a criminal's life and his brother. No real plot, mostly Jay whump.

"I shouldn't have… I said I wasn't judging you, and then I went and got angry, and I said… and I shouldn't… I shouldn't have said all that." He looks away, staring at the wall. "Mouse… I'm glad you did. I think it needed saying." Somehow it's the start of something they never expected. Tag to Life is Fluid and beyond.

How is honesty ever good? "It's definitely not me. It's you." Instead of the cliché. Is honesty useful? Jay's mind ran through it, holding his cough in as the team surrounded the house. It was getting harder and harder to breathe. See, if he were honest, he'd get benched. He couldn't. Not now. Not with this case.

When Jay needs a place to go late one night he goes to the nearest (and least favorite) place: his dad's house.

It was no secret that Will Halstead and Natalie Manning were falling head over heels in love with each other. Natalie remained cautious, wondering if anyone could fill the void in her heart, but after being stood up by Will, she finds herself questioning her choices. However, a grim discovery might change it all.

Mouse and Nadia go out for a coffee date. This, obviously, precedes the death of Nadia. I had always wished that the writers had brought Mouse and Nadia together because they are both fractured souls with heartbreaking pasts. I hope you enjoy it. This Linstead story picks up after 301. Erin is struggling to come to terms with the events of the last few months. Can she move forward and build a life without Nadia? Post 3x01 Life is Fluid - Voight drops by to check on Jay still hospitalized following the Keyes case.

Will and Connor aren't friends and both could really benefit from being each others friend. Basically, I wanted a sick Will and my friend wanted hurt Rhodes, add in a silly little plot and this was born.

Loosely based on spoilers for the next episode. I've included Jay in this because I was gutted that he's not going to be in this one. Not much Natalie because I wanted to concentrate on the brothers.

It wasn't that Will was blind. No, he knew exactly what was happening to his brother. He just didn't know how to fix it.

One mistake will change the lives of the team when one of their best goes missing.

The doctors are used to treating patients who were somehow attacked; whether it be physically, sexually, or in any other way. However, when Will stumbles upon a badly injured Rhodes things take a turn as this attack becomes personal. Hurt!Connor, Caring!Docs,Caring!Will especially, Whump/Angst is heavy.

Connor is in the wrong place at a wrong time. He gets more than he bargained for, but also gains a new friend. Will and Jay Halstead to the rescue. Some action, some whump and maybe some TLC.

A one shot set within 4.23, reimagining some of the details of what transpired and giving an end that I feel is both more satisfying and realistic! Hope you enjoy it; please let me know what you think!

Can't tell you how disappointed I was that there wasn't any brotherly interaction in 'Monday Mourning' so I had to remedy that. SPOILERS for that episode (2.17) if you haven't seen it. This includes Jay even though he's not in the character list.

Linstead plus Voight, Natalie, and Will. Future fic. "Jay cracks a small smile in the hopes that it combined with his comment will make her laugh, but Erin just shakes her head against his palm and reminds him that she's not his fiancee. Not anymore."

Linstead. Oneshot. An attempt at the cut scene from 4x18. "But he's trying to take the advice he gave her back after Nadia died. Trying to stop tiptoeing around the stuff he's got going on upstairs; trying to face it head on in the basement of a building on West 87th Street with seven other vets and someone from the Illinois Warrior Assistance Program."

After Will told Erin that Mouse was there for Jay with that he was going through after his time with the Rangers, she goes to Jay's late that night to ask him about it. This partnership goes both ways and she will be there to support him. Set after 3x03.

Med 2.17 inspired. Jay keeps checking in on his brother. One shot

Mouse is heading back to the Rangers and though Jay doesn't like it he will stand behind his friend with the help of the team.

A short trip to the ER ends up in an argument for the brothers. A one shot snippet of Halstead brothers with some Antonio and Al.

Short one shot I wrote in between writing my main fic. Its about love, and realising your love for someone when you are extremely close to losing them.

Mouse had gone missing only two weeks after he had rejoined the Army for a secret mission. Jay had vowed to bring him back and Erin was left behind, having to face the possible reality of neither of them ever coming home again. [Slightly AU, set some time after 4x05]

They are trying to escape but Voight doesn't know if Jay can make it in time. HurtJay/WorriedVoight. One shot!

1st : The first time Jay showed up at the Emergency Room in the middle of the night – showering him with weird questions – Will really thought that his brother was hurt, sick or something. Jay centric. One shot series.

The Chicago Med doctors have saved countless lives before, but what happens when the one who needs saving is one of their own? "Seeing a friend on one of the stretchers was never an easy experience, but seeing one of their own was even harder; and seeing the blood splattered all over the Halstead brothers was enough to shock them senseless."

Story Repost. The call he'd been dreading came ten days ago. He knew it was coming. And yet, when he saw the caller ID flash on his phone, he almost nearly hit decline. He had done his duty. Served his time. With that said, in the back of his mind, Jay always knew what he was going to do. He was trained to protect. And his country needed protecting.

Jay reflects on Yates and a certain phrase.

"Everybody's watching you now. Everybody waits for you now. What happens next?" When Lindsay gets shot and Halstead goes missing, Voight, Dawson and the intelligence unit pull all the stops to find out what happened and find their missing member. But in order to catch these criminals, they will have to ask themselves; how far are they willing to go to?

A routine trip to bring in the average murderer has Alvin looking at Jay in a new light, and possibly dragging Jay away from the light while he's at it.

"I figured my Ranger brother picked up something overseas." Brothers didn't look for it, but trouble found them anyways. "I was stationed in the middle of the desert." Major Character Death.

The Halstead brothers have a talk after the events in Chicago Med. Because at the end of the day all that really matters is family.

Jay had been shot, had nearly drowned, had to find a kidnapped child and had developed a touch of hypothermia, and he just wasn't sure how much worse the day could get. Just three chapters of shameless Jay whump!

A mysterious rune transports the Mortal Instruments gang to London in the 1800s where they meet characters from the Infernal Devices. Almost all the characters are in the story. Just to see how they would all react if they met their ancestors/descendants.

"I hope that all your dreams come true, but just remember that nightmares are dreams too." -Not sure who said it, but I think it suits this story well. This story is rated T for mentions of PTSD and what can happen to those with it if your not careful. hurt!Jay One!Shot

What if when the guns were a'blazing, there were two Intelligence detectives down with Pulpo? My take on how My Way could have gone down. Expect some angst and hurt/comfort. If you don't know who Leslie Shay and Gabriela Dawson are, that's fine, but they will be in this story because I needed a good set of paramedics. Rated T for a few words that little children should not say.

It is the Fourth Of July and Everyone is gathered at a cookout at Hank Voight's house ready to watch some fireworks. The display brings back memories of the war for Jay as he hears the fireworks, sees the lights and smells the smoke. Jay PTSD goes on display and his co-workers and friends help out.

This idea popped into my head, and I am not entirely happy with the way it turned out because I'm not much of a writer. but I decided I'd share it anyway. It's a Linstead one-shot in which Jay gets has to go back to Afghanistan but doesn't tell Erin. She ends up finding out anyway and isn't very happy about it.

James Carstairs had no choice but to become a silent brother to save his own life. However, what will happen when he returns to meet Jace Herondale and his friends? Short cute drabble.

The unit decided to watching the new Spielberg movie. A movie about war and first Jay wanted to reject the offer but he changed his mind as he heard that Lindsay would be there too. But as he was watching the movie he wished that he had never agreed to come. [war drama x LINSTEAD x one shot]

One-shot. Sucking in a breath of the cold frigid Chicago air, he exhales, watching as it billows into the night like a puff of smoke. In retrospect, it reminded him of his time in Afghanistan; the cold nights filled with isolation.
