If you couldn't tell by looking, I registered not to write stories (I cannot do creative writing), but to manage the stories that I like.

Most of the time I've been reading over on LJ, which keeps me busy enough, given my limited time here. However I recently finished Season 2 of The Walking Dead and felt the need to find stories about Andrea. Turns out I think I ship Andrea/Daryl. (Which might stem from the fact I ship Andrea with Sawyer from Lost courtesy of mafia games. Ah, mafia, how I love the crack ships you produce! :D )

Other shows that I watch/have on DVD, but don't really read (at least here; I do frequent other show-specific sites and LJ) include La Femme Nikita (my favorite show ever!), The Pretender (I adore Miss Parker), Burn Notice (another favorite show, but there's not much of a fandom at present), Haven (Nathan/Audrey and Nathan/Audrey/Duke), Alphas (is there even really a fandom for this show?), Battlestar Galactica 2003 (especially Kara and Kara/Lee), Gilmore Girls (mostly Luke/Lorelai), Blood Ties (the show wasn't that great, but I liked the characters and will read either Vicki/Henry or Vicki/Mike), and Supernatural (definitely not Wincest, though). I'm just starting to get into the fandoms for The Mentalist and Castle, but haven't really done much there yet. I also love Legend of the Seeker, but that is more of an LJ love, obviously.

I used to read Sawyer/Kate (and sometimes Sawyer/Jack) from Lost, but now I'm liking Sawyer/Juliet, even if I haven't gone searching for fanfic for that pairing yet. I also used to read the Sara/Nick pairing on CSI, but I lost interest in the show (and, no, it wasn't entirely due to the relationship issues; I was having other issues with it for awhile before that), and then in the pairing shortly after. I also used to love the Calleigh/Eric pairing on CSI: Miami, but I haven't watched the show since it became "all Horatio all the time". I tried watching when I heard of the developments happening with their characters, but I just couldn't do it. Oh well. I used to read NCIS fic, starting with Kate with Tony, Gibbs, or Ari, and switching to Ziva fic, but the fandom got so anti-Ziva and anti-Tony/Ziva that I pretty much completely lost enjoyment in it. I used to read Without a Trace fanfiction as well, especially Martin-centric and/or Martin/Samantha; however, I started to lose interest in that show in the fifth season and haven't really done much since. I hate it when I lose interest in my shows!

I'll occasionally read random other pairings/in random other fandoms as the mood strikes me, but given my lack of free time, it is not a usual thing.

I'm a librarian/teacher, so that means that I am anal about grammar, punctuation, factual issues, etc. That is (fortunately or unfortunately) the reason why I often find it difficult to discover stories that I love. (And is why I tend to shy away from exploring new fandoms, as it takes so much time to discover authors and stories that I like.) If I do like a story, however, I'm usually pretty good about leaving feedback.
