"Cas! Hey, wait up!" Cas stopped dead in his tracks as he turned his head towards the owner of the voice. Jess. Jess greeted him with a big smile in the school hallway and slipped her arm through his. Jess and Cas had been friends since middle school. She's the only one who knows.

"Youll never guess what just happened!"

"Huh?" Jess almost always exaggerated her stories and Cas has grown used to it.

"I just gave the HOTTEST guy a tour of the school. He has this shaggy head of hair and this beautiful smile. Ugh. My panties were halfway to China by the time we were done!"

"Jess, that's gross! You know better than to have sex in the school!" She used the expression of her panties falling halfway to China to express that the guy was sexy. Other than that there was no way that much else happened.

She slaps his arm in a playful manner. "You know I'd never do that. Come on I'll tell you all about him in our first period." She leads them into their classroom seconds before the bell when off.

Castiel's first day went like this: AP English, AP Spanish, Honors Math, Chemistry, study hall, then Art. Jess is in his English, Chemistry and Art class. He got lucky that they had three classes together. They almost never have classes together.

"I wish I could get this over with." Cas groans as he and Jess walk into their chemistry class. Jess nodes in agreement leading the way to two empty seats in the middle towards the back. As she goes to sit down, She notices someone across the way.

"Why are you...Hey, who is that?" He nods his head in the direction that Jess is staring at, taping her on the shoulder so that she would sit down.

"Oh. My. God. That's him!" She whispers harshly in his ear. "The stud that I showed around this morning!"

"God, you don't have to scream in my ear. Why did he move his senior year? Did you manage to get the kids name? It's not nice calling him the stud. If you want him to be your boyfriend at any point you'll have to figure out his name."

"Yeah right. Well, I did. But I'll let you guess during roll call." She flashed him this evil grin and turned her attention back to the teacher. That really meant that she didn't remember from the tour and was waiting for him to respond to a name.

The class seemed to drag on. He noticed that Jess kept glancing at the new kid.

"So," Jess and Cas were walking to her car for lunch after chemistry. "What are you thinking for lunch?"

"Jess, you know that I pack a lunch and never actually go and get anything." They approached her car. He waited for Jess to walk around to the other side of the car.

"Well yes, I do, but I want ideas. So start talking... oh. my. god." Jess was looking past Cas. Confused, Cas turned around. There was the most stunning person that Cas had ever laid eyes on.

"Who is that? And why is my boyfriend with him?"

He was athletically built, tall, chiseled face, lips that were worth kissing and emerald green eyes. He was walking out of the school with none other than the kid in Cas's chemistry class.

"I don't know maybe they know each other?" Cas turned back around to look at Jess.

"Well, obviously Cas! You don't tend to hang out with people you don't know! I'm not as stupid as I look."

"That's not what I was saying, I mean, they look related in some way through."

"Just get in the damn car Cas, we are wasting valuable eating time." Jess was sinking into the driver's seat. Cas turned around to get one more glimpse of the emerald beauty. Cas's confusing only grew when his blue eyes met green. Cas didn't want to look away, but the threat of red cheeks and Jess yelling at him to get in the car already forced him to break eye contact.

The last half of the day was just as boring as the first half. Cas kept thinking about the green eyes and those lips. He wondered if he would ever see them again.

Jess and Cas left together after art comparing the classes that they didn't have together.

"So. Youll never guess who is in my Math class!" Jess askes me in a singing tone. We have left school and are on our way to our favorite coffee shop.

"Who?"

"Sam Winchester!"

"uhh.. and who is that?"

Jess turned her head to gawk at me.

"You don't know who he is?! He is the kid in our Chemistry class, the one I gave the tour too! He is like only the smartest kid ever. The best part is that he is going to be my math partner!"

"You are way too excited to have that kid as your partner. That poor kid."

"Cas don't be such a downer! Look, I invited him to coffee so that maybe he can become friends with us and have someone he knows at school."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine, plus I have my book with me." Cas knew that this meant he was going to be a third wheel the entire time. He'll just have to talk Jess into buying his coffee.

The coffee shop was filled with just enough people to have a steady hum of conversation floating through the air. Cas and Jess got their coffee and sat in a semi-secluded corner away from the door. They could see most everyone in the shop. They sat enjoying their coffee. Cas had an overwhelming feeling of content. Here he was sitting next to his best friend, drinking coffee just enjoying being there. Being present.

"Excuse me." A voice pulling him back to reality. Looking up he saw Jess blushing. He looked over to the owner of the voice. Sam.

"Is this seat taken?" He gestured at the seat next to Cas.

"Oh...right!! NO! No, go for it!" Jess stammered. Sam slid in the seat next to Cas. There was no denying the kid was cute. Jess does know how to pick them.

"Hi," Cas said, "My names Castiel but everyone calls me Cas. You must be Sam right?"

"Yeah. Its uh its nice to meet you." Sam seemed nervous.

"Did you get a coffee?" Jess seemed almost desperate for conversation.

"Uh, no. Should I have?'

"You don't have to, but I would recommend it." Jess was calming down a little.

"Really?" Sam leaned forward cutting Cas out of the conversation. "what do you think I should get?"

Jess smirked. "Are you sure you want me to pick? That's putting a lot of trust in someone you don't know yet."

Cas got up and walked around the table to where Jess was sitting. Leading down he whispered in her ear,
"Why don't you tell me what you want to get him, and I'll go get it so that you guys have some time together?"

Jess whispered a drink in Cas ear and he went to go get the drink. He was grateful to finally leave. They were flurting bad. He was standing at the counter waiting to order when he hears someone behind him.

"How long do you think Sammy and his little girlfriend are going to be talking?" Sammy? Cas was almost scared to turn around. Emerald eyes met Blue.

"I can help whos next" Cas wiped back around almost too fast.

"Uh, yes, hi. I would like a latte and a mocha please, for here."

"Can I get a name please."

"Uh, Cas."

"Alright, Cas Ill have that right out for you!"

"Thanks." Cas moved to wait for the drinks. From this angle, he could get a good look at the person behind him. It was the guy Sam was with when he left the school. He was tall, basic cut of hair, stunning facial features. He was making the barista blush just by helping him with his coffee order.

"A mocha and a latte for a Cas." Cas went a grabbed the two drinks trying not to spill.

"Hey! You know I asked you a question right?" That voice again. Cas looked up from the mugs. It was him.

"Oh. No, I didn't."

"Well, I did. How long do you think Sammy is going to be talking to that girl?"

"Well, I'm uh... I'm not entirely sure. If you don't mind I have to go deliver drinks."

"That's the thing Cas. You deliver those drinks they will take forever."

"Ok guy, the thing is, if I don't go over I will drop these and Jess will be pissed and I'll have coffee on me. So I'm going now." Cas moved to give the drinks to Sam and Jess when the guy cut him off.

"How about this, you deliver the drinks and then come sit with me. Youll be the third wheel the entire time. This way you can have an actual conversation with someone who isn't making puppy eyes at your best friend. Come find me."

" Fine." Cas moved around him and made it to Sam and Jess. Surprisingly he didn't spill the coffee on the way back. Jess looked up as Cas approached the table.

"There you are Cas! I was wondering what happened to you."

"I got held up by some guy." Cas set the drinks down on the table. His wrists had started to ake.

"What guy?"

"The one that was with Sam at lunch today."

Upon hearing this, Sam focused his attention away from Jess and onto Cas."Oh right. That's my brother. What did he want?"

"Not much, but he invited me to go sit with him. So, Jess, let me know when you are leaving. I'll give you two some space."

"You are going to sit with Dean? Alright." Sam said. "Before you go, which drink is mine?" Cas grabbed his latte of the table. He wasn't actually going to sit with Sams brother. Even though he was ridiculously attractive. Cas was in the middle of his book and he wanted to keep reading. Reaching down next to the table he grabbed his book off the floor. Cas found a spot not to far away from Jess so he could see if she left at any time. Setting his drink on the table, he sank into his chair and started reading.

"Hey!" Cas jumped in his seat. He was in the middle of his chapter and had completely forgotten that the rest of the world existed. He looked up annoyed. Why would someone disrupt his reading like this? It was Dean.

"What?" Cas snapped, annoyed that he had interrupted him. Cas sat up and took a swig of his drink. Dean took the seat across from him.

"First off, you don't need to be snippy with me. Second, I told you to come and sit with me. What the hell?" Having Dean across from Cas was starting to make Cas nervous. Here was this specimen sitting across from him like it was no big deal.

"I... um.. I didn't want to OK. I have no idea who you are. They only reason you know my name is cause you heard me give it to the woman who made my drink."
