Please call me Melody, it has no significant meaning that will give away my real name, it's simply a nickname bestowed upon me by a friend.

I'm a sophomore in high school.

I'm an aspiring writer, I write anything from action to romance, I specialize in tragedy.

I enjoy tea and coffee, as well as ice cream.

I'm Goth, not what most people think of when they think it, but a true-blue goth.
I don't wear chains or Tripp pants, I don't wear black lipstick, I don't cut myself, I'm not depressed, I don't wear only black, nor do I practice Wicca or worship Satan.
I do wear a large amount of darker colors, like to read, enjoy the darker side of art, and think deeply on subjects that most people don't like to go near..

I think that it's awful that we have all sorts of "Mall Goth" kiddies running around giving us all bad names because they think that they're so cool for wearing black.
These are the opposite of what Goth is meant to be. Most true Goths are intelligent, well mannered, and generally accepting people.
We don't "hate preps" or "want to kill everyone," to quote one of my favorite sites goth.net, "Goths are free thinkers, people who do not accept the moral rules of society because they're told 'This is just how it is' or 'This is what God says!'. Rather goths tend to listen to what you have to say, and make up their own mind. This kind of free thinking and rejection of dogma earns only rejection in today's society."
