Bonnie finds a way to reset the past, to go back to how things were before the accident. There are only two rules: they keep the memories they have from their present and they cannot make the same choices again. Can they correct their mistakes and find peace at last? Or will they find that reliving their past is more difficult than they ever imagined?

Elena could feel the edge of the abyss, the tendrils of insanity strangling her very heart. Her head was a mush pit of contradictions as she took note of Bonnie's words, of Caroline's protests, of the conversation between the brothers and of the boy that stubbornly wouldn't come back to life upstairs.
