New to anime, new to this website, but am getting more and more interested in this daily. I have a pre-teen daughter who reads things from this website almost daily. It has encouraged her to write some of her own pieces. So far, she has pretty much blown me away, with the depth of emotion she expresses and with her character development.

I am a mother of a daughter, and also a teenage boy. He is more interested in gaming, but also dabbles in animation and graphic design.

My uncle created The Simpsons, Futurama and Life In Hell. My other uncle created Hey Arnold!, Dinosaur Train, the Penny cartoons for the PeeWee Herman Saturday Morning Show, and the California Raisons (a claymation commercial produced by Will Vinton in the '80's (I am old).

My grandfather was one of the first big wave surf filmmakers. He made his own fiberglass housing to protect his camera from the raging North Shore, Oahu surf, This was the during late fifties. Bruce Brown became famous for his surfing films. My grandpa, Homer Groening, is pretty much undiscovered.

I do not have much to brag about, myself, other than the things my kids are interested in...but who knows? Maybe this website will inspire me to do something great!
