I'm not sure why I enjoy/enjoyed the Morse - Lewis - Endeavour series so much, but I do/did. And it's been fun finding fanfiction because the stories here extend the characters and give them lives that seem real. For me the challenge writing stories is coming up with an idea and growing it into a plausible story. Ergo, I've written very few stories, and the only ones I've tried are for Lewis. I suppose that's because I really like Lewis, Hobson, and Hathaway, although I have yet to figure out James' stories. Another challenge for me is to figure out the British terms to use, or ignore. Clearly I'm an American who wishes her stories sounded more authentic. Ah well. Maybe some day I'll get to visit England again.
