Just a 15 year old girl that loves to read anything and everything, and listen to anything and everything.

I love plants and animals, almost anything alive to be honest.

Winter is my favorite season, because I love water, wind, the cold, and any combination of the former three.

I love nature and anything that has to do with nature; it's honestly a dream of mine to have a small cottage in the woods where i can just spend my days reading and writing, having as many animal companions as I want, and just not having to be bothered by other people, and the noise and pollution that we as a race creates.

Love to write stories, whether it be based off of others, or completely my pwn, it's a hobby that I enjoy, and will most likely enjoy for the rest of my natural born life.

Also just love to write poems sometimes just to get away from life, you know?

Which?

To have loved means to have given love.

Love of a mother.

Pride from a father.

Camaraderie of friends.

Passion of a lover.

To have lost means to have felt loss.

Grief for the dead.

Anger for what is no longer here.

Pain of being lonely.

Confusion of no longer knowing your place in the world.

But,

What does it mean to

Never have loved at all ?

What is the feeling that must fill one's’ heart and soul?

Are the feelings even there?

Are they even felt at all?

Or,

Are they just an empty shell?

Just wandering about as life goes on,

Feelings of indifference from now and on.

But,

Maybe they do feel.

The hollow feeling, ever present in their chests,

A void of emptiness in their hearts it rests and nests.

Never ebbing nor leaving,

Around their heart and soul, ever weaving.

So what would you choose,

If you were in another’s shoes?

Would you take the pain with the pleasure?

The happiness with the sadness?

A constant tug-of-war,

Surrounded by those that you love,

And then no more?

Or,

Would you rather have none of this back and forth,

But also, nothing at all?

Hollow and empty,

No joy nor pain?

Having no emotions, being driven insane?

But here is the real question,

Which do you prefer :

Knowledge or ignorance,

As both are key.

Determining which path you will walk,

In this spectrum of doors and keys.

And so it shall be written,

Read once again :

“‘Tis better to have loved and lost, /

Than never to have loved at all”

Now what would your choose,

Between the two?

Or are there other options,

We just never knew?

I hide behind a smile.

I hide behind a laugh.

I hide behind kind words.

I hide behind a mask.

Behind my mask is a tired, scared, and distrusting girl.

Behind my mask is a girl who has been betrayed once too many at a young age.

Behind my mask is a girl who has experienced much, but hasn't seen far.

Behind my mask, I am human.

I ask myself: Why is life difficult?

I ask myself: Is it because I havn't found myself?

I ask myself: How long do I have to be strong for everybody?

I ask myself: But why? But how?

For a long time, I have known that I have been different. Introverted. A dreamer. Misplaced.

For a long time, I have wanted to validate my existence. To not feel numb.

No, I am not depressed, this is who I am. This is how I think.

This is how I grew up. Open-minded.

Experienced, yet I haven't seen all.

They call me a genius, yet I know nothing.

I feel as if I am a wingless bird trapped within a cage. Trapped within a trap.

I wish to escape...

I wish to fly...

I wish to feel the wind groom through my feathers with the sky as my only companion.

I wish to breathe.

But why? But how?

Behind my mask, I am only human.
