As a teacher, I tell my students to write, write, write. Yea, that is just it. I tell them that, but I have not been living it. Journaling, I have tried it. Free writing, yep, tried that too. I even tried to make lists daily of just general stuff about myself. None of which I have been able to be faithful to. I feel like such a fraud trying to get all hyped up about writing when really I don't ever do it.

So, what is a poor teacher to do? Well, if that teacher is me, you make a decision to put yourself out there. At best, I will get some honest apprasial of my writing. At worst, well, I don't even want to think about it. What I will have gained is that feeling that my student writers must get when they wait with baited breath for a reaction to their work. I figure that is a win-win for me.
