When Derek thought about time travel – and he did, a lot – this was not what he'd had in mind.

After the Nogitsune, Stiles puts all his practice of pretending to be 'fine' to use. But it doesn't help the nightmares, the guilt, and insomnia. So he starts going out of his way to earn his place in the world back. But he isn't sure there is one anymore. Five Times Stiles Tried to Make Up for the Nogitsune (and one time he was begged to stop).

Stiles is not a nice guy. Stiles is the asshole willing to do things nice guys don't to get results. But now Stiles can't be himself without reminding his friends of the nogitsune and it's stifling to have to be the nice guy he really isn't.

It was the Nogitsune that had killed and hurt people with his hands—not Stiles himself. He knew that. He knew it and it didn't make anything easier in the slightest. Even now that he was in control of his body again, there was nothing he could do. Two moments when Scott was there for Stiles and Stiles was there for Scott.

Worst of all are his eyes, angled down, but still filled with a bitter, helpless exhaustion. His posture is subdued, alarmingly still, and he's alone in the hallway, despite the pack all being there. It fills her with this burning rage on his behalf, because honestly? He looks too tired to even carry on, let alone care how easily he is dismissed. Lydia Martin has had enough.

There are only seven days until the wedding. The last thing Allison needed was to find out that both bakeries in Beacon Hills had closed seemingly out of the blue and dropped all orders for the foreseeable future. Not to mention Scott would be devastated if there was no cake, and Stiles refused to let that happen.

"As you all probably know, this year we have decided to do a little experimenting with pack mentality that we have seen around the campus." The students started to murmur to each other, but Stiles's table stayed quiet, waiting to know why they're sitting with the main werewolf pack of the school.
