It was exactly one year ago that I first saw ALW's "The Phantom of the Opera", originally intended to take my mind off an exam, but which soon meant much more to me than just a welcome distraction from university life. Well, ever since then I have been lurking on the various boards, reading FF and collecting every snippet of information concerning the story, the film, the actors... cough Gerard Butler cough. g The film touched me in a way that is difficult to describe. It inspired my muse to write my own story (and gave me dozens of ideas), but I'm not sure whether I'll ever put it up. Same as with the Phantom, I suppose - fear of rejection. I admire everybody who has taken this step and actually published their stories on this site or elsewhere. So, until we meet again - I remain, (ladies and) gentlemen, Your obedient servant, Il Fantasma |
