January 1, 2008-

Happy New Year, everyone! For the new year, I resolve to... procrastinate less! Which means... more, and faster, updating! Yay!!! At the moment, I'm obsessed with Kyou Kara Maou, but I finished season 2, so I'll have time to update Match! Heheh, you can always tell which series I'm into at the moment by how much I talk about it (Naruto, Kyou Kara Maou, and FFVII seem to be the top contenders, judging by my excessive rants on them in my profile). But really, I don't know why KKM receives so little attention. Perhaps it's 'cause it's pretty much shonen-ai, though there's no physical contact or romantic interaction between the main pairing. GRRRR... (STRANGLES YUURI FOR BEING STUPID) I'm just glad there'll be a season 3, though! YEAHHHH!!!! It's supposed to be out in April of this year, which seemed like such a long time to go just a few hours ago (think about it- if it's December 31st, 2007, and someone tells you you won't get something until April 2008, doesn't it seem much longer than if it were January 1st, 2008, and someone tells you you'll get it in April? I think my mind just did a mental calendar-skip thing). In the meantime, we get some out-of-order OVAs (I just realized they were out of order. -_-), with lots of yummy fanservice! (Fangirl senses tingling!) I just hope someone puts up the subbed version of OVA #3 soon! I know what's going on, but I want to see it with subs, so I won't have to think so much!

The Marriage Circle- Some Kyou Kara Maou goodness for YuuRam fans such as myself. And no, it's not a romantic AMV- it's actually an ingenious parody of the duel scene from Episode 2 (or was it 3?). Tangentrain, you are a brilliant mastermind. _

Naruto Randomness- And since I haven't forgotten about Naruto and my personal favorite pairing, SasoxDei, here's a parody from that fandom, by the equally brilliant Fioriparty. Cheers!

And before I leave to go celebrate, here's another random thought. Takahiro Sakurai amazes me. Yes, he does, yes he does. I knew he was the voice of Akasuna no Sasori. Then I heard him sing, which gave me so many ideas for SasoxDei parodies, lol. Then, I found out, while watching KKM, that he makes the voice of Shibuya Yuuri as well. O.O Coincidence? Yah, really strange, since he happens to be the seiyuu for both semes in my TTP (two true pairings) of the moment. Whoaaa...

Itsuki Koizumi- Kyon is sarcastic and wicked funny, but this guy just has a laid-back, cheerful demeanor that appeals to me.

Urahara Kisuke- He is just SO hilarious!

Kurosaki Yuzu- She's so adorable! I love her haircut, her style, her voice, and her overall character!

Full Metal Alchemist-

Maes Hughes- Absolute favorite FMA character- he's wonderful comic relief, he's a sweetheart, and I was very sorry when he died.

Roy Mustang- He's hot. End of story. Okay, maybe not. He's also funny and cute. ;)

Riza Hawkeye- I LOVE Riza! She's a role model for women everywhere, AND she's pretty to boot!

Edward Elric- I guess I should include him, since I found him to be a great main character, and the scenes with him and Roy were always enjoyable.

Greed- I had to put Greed in here, since he was my favorite homunculus, and it's sad that he had to be the first to die, since many of the others were freaky and deserved to die!

Naruto-

Nara Shikamaru- I find it amazing how he can remain perfectly calm and relaxed even during the height of a battle, and his laziness and surprising attack plans are always extremely entertaining

Hatake Kakashi- Gotta love that Icha Icha Paradise. Heeheehee... It's just nice that aside from being hot, he's also got a great sense of humor

Sabaku no Temari- My absolute favorite kunoichi. Somehow, this always comes as a surprise- most people expect me to like Tenten best. Tenten's a great character, but I don't think even she can beat our girl Temari.

Deidara- I loved his character even back when he only appeared in the manga and I thought he was a pretty girl. (What? It was GAARA who deceived me!) Anyway, I've always felt he has an explosive personality, and he's very exciting to watch.

Akasuna no Sasori- I like his idea of art better than Deidara's, and he's just plain SEXY, but when it comes down to personality, I think he loses a bit to Dei. It's just like the thing with Kyon and Itsuki- Kyon's cool, but Itsuki's my favorite.

Tenten- I like her best out of the Konoha kunoichi 'cause I felt that even back then, she was the only one who seemed right for her all-male team.

Inuyasha-

Sesshoumaru- Aside from being the hottest guy in Inuyasha, he's also mysterious, cold, strong- and yet I believe he's a total softie at heart. XD

Sango- YEAH! GIRL POWER! Sango sparked my interest as soon as I saw her in the THEME SONG of Inuyasha, Season 1, and ever since then, she's been my favorite female character. She can kick butt AND win the heart of a comical womanizer!

Miroku- Said comical womanizer. XD This guy is so perverted it's humorous to watch him flirt with woman after woman, and yet still remain loyal to Sango.

Cowboy Bebop-

Spike Spiegel- O. M. Gee. I think this is the first main character of a series that's also been my favorite character. I actually had to debate between him and Faye, but Spike won in the end, 'cause he's dashing, laid-back, and knows how to appreciate a good joke. Plus, his Bruce Lee-ish fighting skills are so great. :)

Faye Valentine- Despite the fact that she's a femme fatale, and dresses like a total slut, I still find her to be a very refined, very incredible person. She's alluring, sharp, and can fight well. Plus, her ability to remain unfazed when kidnapped is shocking. And funny. :D

Jet Black- WOOT! I always have a spot in my heart for the father/captain/sensei figure amongst the crew- any crew. He's not much older than Faye and Spike, but he's experienced and a great character overall.

I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs-

Himejima Fujio- YEAH! BLACK BELT IN AIKIDO!!!!! HIGH FIVE I loved Fujio's no-nonsense attitude towards boys and romantic relationships. She was refreshing, compared to the other Anime schoolgirls. Too bad she fell for Fukae in the end, though I was rooting for their relationship, since I knew it was inevitable that she'd like him eventually, and it was only good that he return her feelings as well. I even got mad at Fuko for getting in the way.

Baa-chan (I forgot her name)- Crazy grandma lady with a huge gun and insane motorcycle driving skills! What could be better? She's always there to save the day and hatch tomorrow's plot. Though I felt part of her coolness vanished once she revealed her deep, dark secret at the end of the series.

Hibiki Amawa- I guess I have to include him, though he's definitely not in my top favorites. He was a great character, though, and it was only because of him that this little series held together in the first place, so he deserves some recognition for it.

Studio Ghibli Films-

Howl, from Howl's Moving Castle- Effeminate and downright crazy, but I love the guy. He's just so... smooth. XD

Lady Eboshi, from Princess Mononoke- She's power-hungry and a tree-killer, but you've got to admire her wit and guts. And she's a dynamic character, so I'm not just admiring someone's ability to cook up evil schemes here.

Anime:

Kyou Kara Maou!-

KonradxYuuri- (ANGRY GLARE) No! Absolutely not! At first, I thought this was the most likely pairing (season 1 was so misleading), since Yuuri and Konrad seemed obsessed with each other, but then I realized Konrad was more into Julia than Yuuri, and after Julia died, he only protected Yuuri as a younger brother or son (which makes the idea of this pairing seem kind of disturbing). Plus, Yuuri's mom seems to see Konrad as a family friend, a godfather-figure, and near the end of the Anime (spoiler!), Yuuri calls Konrad "big brother" while running off to save Wolfram, and Konrad seems very happy about it. :)

KonradxWolfram- O.O (COMPLETE, UTTER SHOCK) How did this happen? The only relationship these two have is that of two brothers, and even that relationship's a bit messed up, since Wolfram looks down on/distrusts Konrad for not telling him about the half-human thing. I think it's funny how Gwendal treats Wolfram like a bratty little brother (which he is), and Konrad says little brothers will always be cute, no matter how old they get. It's ironic that Wolfram only calls Gwendal "big brother", and not Konrad, though.

KonradxJulia- No, I am not anti-Konrad. I just don't like the idea of him being paired up with any of these people. Actually, KonradxJulia's okay, 'cause I did spend half the Anime thinking they were a secret couple, but after Julia reveals that she loved Adelbert after all, I felt Konrad and Julia didn't really have a romantic relationship. Maybe they really did see each other as just close friends/siblings. And the fact that most KonradxJulia pairings involve Konrad loving Julia indirectly, through Yuuri (Anti- KonradxYuuri here!), kind of annoys me. (Eye twitch)

WolframxAnybody other than Yuuri- 'Cause Wolfram reminds me of the beautiful-angry-girlfriend character that shows up in most comedies, and I don't think he'd behave that way unless Yuuri was really his first love. I especially can't stand WolframxPast lover, even if it culminates in eventual YuuRam. The idea of Wolfram being torn between his past love and Yuuri is just so foreign. Though for some reason YuurixSomeone else and then Wolfram doesn't annoy me as much, probably 'cause Yuuri has a tendency to go off and think that he likes someone else until he realizes he belongs with Wolfram, being the "idiotic wimp" that he is. :D

Full Metal Alchemist-

RoyxEd- Why? Uh, I don't like yaoi pairings other than SasoxDei, 'cause I find it strange that characters that are so obviously straight (and are paired with canon females in the actual show) can suddenly turn gay with each other? Though, IF Roy were a bit younger, or Ed a bit older, and I wasn't anti-yaoi, then these two'd make an okay couple, I guess. O.o

AlxWinry- Are there AlxWinry pairings out there? I think so. And I don't really support them 'cause I think of Al as a little kid, and Winry's like his older sister more than his potential girlfriend.

HavocxRiza- If Roy didn't exist, then maybe. But he does, so he belongs with Riza. Havoc's just a funny office buddy. =)

RoyxWinry- I don't see this pairing often, but I saw fanart for it! So that means it must exist! Oh boy, I think I'd prefer Roy and ED over this one!

Naruto-

DeixTobi- -_- Nothing against Tobi's character personally- I actually like him a lot, as long as he's not actually being paired up with Deidara. I just don't see how this couple could be. You might say that DeixTobi can only be as bizarre as SasoxDei (older, annoyed, stronger guy with a bratty loudmouth), but I beg to differ. The main reason SasoxDei succeeds as a pairing (and DeixTobi fails, in my eyes) is because Sasori and Deidara share a connection, a bond, one that never seems to form between Deidara and Tobi. They both loved art, and even if Deidara wasn't as strong as Sasori, he was still special in his own right. Then again, this might also be because I'm pretty much anti-yaoi aside from my love of the SasoxDei pairing. Not that that's a bad thing, of course. I can accept other yaoi pairings that happen to appear in a SasoxDei fic, but the only fics I'll read with a yaoi pairing as the main pairing are SasoxDei fics. In a way, I guess I'm prejudiced against any pairing that's not my favorite (note criticisms and rants against other pairings below). :D

NejixSakura- Sakura already has too many guys to consider, and I feel Neji belongs with no one but Tenten. TENTEN! I'm a huge supporter of NejixTen, so I HATE this pairing with a passion =/

SasukexHinata- Does Sasuke even know who Hinata is? O.o Even though I don't HATE this pairing (some authors managed to convince me these two MIGHT be meant for each other), I still feel there is no way it could happen, so I don't support it.

GaaraxSakura- Again, Sakura gets paired up with way too many guys! Though I guess it makes more sense now that she saved his brother AND helped get him back by teaming up with Chiyo to kill Sasori.

KakashixSakura- =O!!! Like, O-M-G! They're fricken, like, 14 years apart, ya know? WHOA, this pairing's bad. It forced me to morph into valley-girl mode! EEP! Anyways, I'm not against people dating older guys or anything, but there's sort of a limit on it. I'd say 8 years (nyuk nyuk, just watch; I'm going to watch some anime where this pairing I love features people 10+ years apart and I'm going to feel like a hypocrite) at the most. Though I know some people in real life who are more than 10 years apart, and yet are still living together happily. Whatever floats your boat, I guess... as for me, I think falling in love with your sensei is just so wrong... not to mention, Sakura's in love with Sasuke and there's tons of guys for her that are her age. This pairing's extremely unrealistic, in addition to being wrong. Ugh...

ItachixSakura- Itachi's one of those few characters that I feel should be left alone. As in single-alone. Though I do tolerate ItachixAnko and ItachixTemari (weird, absurd, crack, you're crazy, kid, I know, I know...).

ItachixHinata- Why does everyone pair Hinata and Sakura up with random people? It's just so weird...

GaaraxHinata- Cute, in a way. But just so unrealistic and practically impossible. -

NarutoxSasuke- Like, ew. I just can't STAND this pairing. And what's worse, I see it on almost every single page of Naruto fanfiction! GAH!

NarutoxGaara- Okay, I know Naruto saved Gaara and all, but... I don't Gaara'd fall in love with him for it. It's just too absurd. Almost like GaaraxLee. Shudder

GaaraxLee- There was that one episode. The one where Gaara comes to Lee's rescue. But I think he only did it 'cause Tsunade asked him to, and he owed Naruto a favor. I admit that for one fleeting second, Gaara did look scared/worried that Lee was hurt, and I remember thinking that this is probably one of the little reasons why people love this pairing so much. Hmm... Not to mention, Gaara and Lee don't really have anyone to be paired with. Still, I don't think that's a good enough reason to pair them up with each other.

NarutoxNeji- What's the reasoning behind this one? O.O If it's 'cause Naruto saved Neji, then that means Naruto'd be going out with every other person in Konoha or something! Not to mention he'd have a long-distance relationship with Gaara in addition to that! AWK!

NejixLee- Can someone PLEASE explain to me why rivalries between boys are so appealing when it comes to pairings?! It's the same with RoyxEd! They fight, argue, kiss- GAH!

SasorixSakura- Everyone seems convinced that there might have been SOME one-sided attraction between Sasori and Sakura that was evident during their fight, but all I recall is Sasori talking to his grandma and calling Sakura a kid throughout, and only communicating with her near the end, where she asked him about Sasuke. Hmm... you may argue that he calls Deidara a brat/kid all the time, too, but in Sakura's case, he really does see her as just a little kid, so it'd be strange to pair him up with her.

DeidaraxSakura- Again with the EverybodyxSakura thing! I actually think Deidara has even less of a chance of falling in love with Sakura than Sasori does! Yeesh! I suppose he COULD encounter her while trying to get revenge for Sasori. Though in that case, wouldn't he just end up fighting her for a very long time, the way he did with Naruto? Why do people always assume that certain characters might fall in love with each other while trying to get revenge? I watched Return of the Condor Heroes, where the couple in question weren't even trying to get revenge on each other, and they still didn't stay together, 'cause they knew it wouldn't work out if they married the enemy. That's probably the most realistic thing I've ever seen done in a series before, and I liked it, even if I was sorry that they had to settle with just being friends. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that DeixSaku is simply unreasonable. That's all.

OrochimaruxTsunade- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! That pedophile Orochimaru?!?!?! With the cool and amazing Tsunade?! Though I do admit, I read a fic once (it's in my favorites, I think) that cast Orochimaru in a good light, and for a few days, I actually thought OrochimaruxTsunade was a pretty good idea. Now I just get freaked out when I think about it.

Inuyasha-

KagomexSesshoumaru- Please. She's like a KID compared to him. Sesshoumaru's coldness can only go well with someone like... say, Kikyo. If Kikyo hadn't DIED, that is. -_-

InuyashaxKikyo- Well, they're OKAY, and it's sweet and all... but it's not going to work out. Face it, after that mess with that jerk Naraku, their relationship is never going to be the same again. Plus, as a Kagome fan, I support Inuyasha and Kagome, not Kikyo.

KougaxKagome- No, no, no, and NO. It's FUNNY to watch Kouga obsess over her, but he should just realize that he and Kagome were not meant to be, and go back to Ayame, who is just as cute and talented and who actually likes him back.

NarakuxANYBODY- WTH? You can't pair that BLEEP with one of the Inuyasha girls! They're all too pretty and too good for him =O!

HarryxHermione- Uh uh. They're like siblings! There'd be absolutely no chemistry between them and it'd never work out.

HermionexFred or George- - Again, it's more of a sibling thing, and they're not even that close!

HarryxDraco- SOBS AND BANGS HEAD ON WALL

SnapexHermione- UHHHHHHHHH... I really don't know what to say this one. I'm speechless. And that's not a good thing. O.O

Eragon-

MurtaghxEragon- BLEAGH! The thought is sickening! It's slash AND incest! If there's anything worse than slash, it's INCEST. I can't believe this pairing even exists! I think Paolini ought to have never revealed the fact that Murtagh and Eragon are even related! Then the MurtaghxEragon fics wouldn't be incest, and I'd be spared from further disgust at the idea.

DurzaxAnyone in the original story- ... No comment on this one. I just can't seem to spot a connection between Durza and any of the other characters. I mean, he kind of died in the first book, and even then, the only person of the opposite sex that he had any association with was ARYA, and he was torturing her, so I don't think a relationship is really possible here...

Games:

Final Fantasy VII-

VincentxLucretia- Why not? They're so obviously in love, right? WRONG! Lucretia may have feelings for Vincent, but the fact is, she's DEAD, and before she died, she was married to the guy that turned Vincent into some freaky experiment, and she CHOSE that life, too! I DO NOT like Lucretia, so if Vincent's going to go with anybody, it's gonna be YUFFIE! And that's FINAL! (Yah, yah, call me biased, unreasonable, whatever! I think Yuffentine is the way to go!)

VincentxShelke- SHELKE?! SHELKE?!?!?! In a way, this may even be worse than VincentxLucretia! At least VincentxLucretia makes sense. To me, Shelke is just someone Vincent agreed to watch over, and just because Lucretia kind of went into her in the end, I still don't think that means this pairing should happen! She's only ten! That makes Vincent a pedophile! (I know, she's actually older than Yuffie, but she's in the body of a ten-yr-old! That makes Vincent over fifty, you say? Well, you, my friend, are WRONG. Vincent may be a fifty-something-year-old in a twenty-seven-year-old's body, but he spent thirty of those years SLEEPING, so he's only spent twenty-seven of his years actually LIVING. That makes him... twenty seven years old. :D As for Shelke, she's in a ten-year-old's body, but she was awake all those twenty years, so in reality, she's twenty. Confusing? Hehe...) And some people may say they understand each other because they were both experimented on, but I don't see how that can lead to a relationship. O.o

VincentxTifa- Hehe, see a pattern here? That's right, I am a person who won't tolerate Vincent with anyone other than Yuffie! It's not that I hate Tifa or anything; she's actually one of my favorite characters. But these two people are both meant to be with someone else, so away with this pairing! (It's like NejixSakura. They're both meant to be with somebody else. =D)

SephirothxAeris- HUH? How did THIS happen? O.O

CloudxYuffie- Cloud is Tifa (or Aeris)'s man; he doesn't need another woman. Yuffie belongs with Vincent. That's all.

CidxVincent- UHHHH... (I don't see why this pairing's so popular. I mean, I know people like yaoi and all, but why Cid and Vincent?)

And that's not it; there's countless other pairings I dislike in FFVII, but I don't feel like going into them all right now...

And now, the section where I defend certain characters that I feel get bashed too often (or are disliked for the wrong reasons, or something like that. Yah, yah, tons of people have this up, but I feel I must speak my opinion about other characters that get bashed and might not have been covered yet!)

1. ARYA, from The Inheritance Trilogy- I don't really get why she gets bashed so much! I know she's hotter than a supermodel, more skilled with fighting and swifter than the most talented of men, a princess of the elves, an important character, AND is adored by the title character, BUT... here's the reason why people are wrong in justifying their hatred of this really quite interesting character! They say she's a Mary-Sue. Well, I don't think this is the right thing to call her, since Sues are usually created by obsessed fangirls who want to insert themselves into stories so they can get paired with their lust objects and be cool and all. Arya is quite the opposite. She's a canon character, created by the male author for his main character. Not only is she not the main subject in the story, but she also plays a minimal part in the first book. A Sue is someone who appears usually from the very beginning, someone who most of the male characters fall in love with at first sight, who is described in extensive detail, is gorgeous, has the best weapons, is all-around perfect, is loved by all, etc. (Okay, sorry I just wasted your time with a description of a Sue, which everyone except the Sue-thors knows about, it seems) Arya does not appear until halfway through the book, and then only in Eragon's dreams. She is rescued in the later parts, and Eragon is very fond of her. HOWEVER, while the other male characters are awed by her beauty (I mean, come on, hotter than a supermodel!), they do not fall madly in love with her! In fact, Murtagh, the other main male character, only says "She's beautiful!" when he sees Arya, while he spends a whole paragraph praising Nasuada's beauty, appearance, etc. Not very Sue-ish to me. And while Arya IS described a bit extensively, it's mainly for effect; It's obvious who the concentration is on. And nowhere does it say she is loved by all! In fact, I remember Orik even having a certain dislike for her early in the second book. And WOW, I never realized I like Arya that much! I just spent a whole long paragraph defending her! That's longer than the amount I spent denouncing the evils of VincentxAnyone other than Yuffie! To tell you the truth, Arya is not my favorite female character; Nasuada is. I just decided Arya is more worthy of my defense, since Nasuada's cool and not Sue-ish in the least. =D

2. TENTEN, from Naruto- Okay, I wasn't going to write this at all, but some things just came up that convinced me Tenten deserves much more credit than she gets! While I admit that the Tenten-bashing is nowhere near the level of bashing that Sakura received in the first part of Naruto, it still gets on my nerves, since she is one of my favorite characters. Back in part 1, Sakura was the "weakling" out of the 4 Konoha kunoichi, so most people concentrated their annoyance on her, but now that she's been recruited by Tsunade, all of a sudden, people start singling Tenten out as a weak, unskilled ninja, which is NOT TRUE. In fact, I see it as the exact opposite. There are several reasons why people usually dislike Tenten. 1. She never beats anyone worth mentioning. Well, you know what? MASASHI KISHIMOTO NEVER BOTHERED TO GIVE HER A LAST NAME. He obviously intended for her to be a "filler" to complete the Neji-Lee team, but giving her a detailed backstory would make that team too prominent in comparison to all the other supporting teams ('cause think about it- if Tenten had a last name and history, that would mean the series has to devote more episodes than they already have to Team Gai, and all of a sudden, Sasuke-Naruto-Sakura would seem much less cool -_-). Tenten is merely a supporting character, and isn't one of the bigger ones, like Neji and Shikamaru or even Hinata (though I still think Kishimoto could at least give her a last name- I mean, come on! He even gave some of the filler characters full names, and Tenten's just Tenten? Unless he intends to do something more with this concept...), so Kishimoto decided not to give her her own episode. If he doesn't show her missions and her battles, then obviously we can't see her fight, and it would make perfect sense why she's never 'beaten anyone worth mentioning'! 2. Fine, but she still sucks at fighting. -_- Seriously, people do not look at things in the right perspective. Tenten hasn't had any major, whole-episode-long battles, but that's because her battles are not yet relevant to the main plot. As a ninja, she's pretty much the cream of the crop. During the Chuunin exams, she lost to Temari, but showed exceptional skill during the other challenges. Her eye for detail is especially noteable, and even if she may not pwn everyone else in a fight, she could be useful for many other things. 3. She's just like Sakura, a burden to her team. EXCUSE ME? I'll admit that Sakura was a burden to her team before, and she was never one of my favorites (though she's still pretty cool), but comparing Tenten to her? It's unimaginable! It's true that she is the weakest out of her teammates. But so is Sakura (yes, even now). And Hinata. And Ino. And unlike some of the others, her teammates are Hyuuga Neji and Rock Lee, who have always been extremely strong and talented! That's a lot to live up to! What matters is that she manages to keep up with them during missions, and never before have I seen her slow her team down or get in their way, even during fights where she was losing. She can hold her own with the boys, but because she's not shown enough, most people assume that she's weak. Even when she was lost on her own out on the cliffs in Episode 142 (I think) she didn't bother to wait for Neji and Lee or even to call for help. She managed to fend off the attacker on her own, even if it took her a while to get away. I don't remember Sakura ever truly fighting on her own, except during the Chuunin exams, and even I found that unfair, since Naruto pretty much helped her out. -_- While Sakura stood in shock during so many episodes I lost count (and had to wait for Sasuke/Naruto to run and shove her out of the way, injuring themselves and resulting in agonizingly long shots of their suffering faces), Tenten zoomed around and fought very efficiently along with her teammates. She possesses more confidence in herself than the other kunoichi, and that's what I think is so great about her character. The Shippuuden arc gave her more screen time, but resulted in more bashing, since now Sakura is unbelievably strong (to the point where it's almost unreal, since she pretty much equaled Tsunade after only 3 years) and confident, while Tenten has remained pretty much the same. Does this make her weak? No! Maybe in comparison to Sakura now, but hey, even Naruto was awed at her immense power, remember? And then there's the reason that annoys me the MOST about Tenten haters. 4. She can't be paired with Neji! She's not good enough for him_ It's like Sakura/Winry/every-other-female-character-that-was-bashed-for-being-a-possible-girlfriend-for-the-many-Anime-bishounen-out-there all over again. One viewer I saw made an interesting comment: that Tenten is random and doesn't have that much character (probably since she doesn't get enough SCREEN TIME!), plus she's a very typical teenage girl (Masashi mentioned himself that she was one of his favorites, despite the fact that he didn't give her a last name, because she was "real", and I think he said "laid-back, relaxed, cool" but I'm not sure. In fact, I distinctly remember him saying that she was the one he'd want to DATE, but that could have been a different mangaka. O.o), and therefore she shouldn't be matched with Neji, who is stoic and freakishly quiet, because they wouldn't generate much romance/humor on-screen. Well, at least that was kind of logical (the person then went on to explain why Lee would be a better match for Tenten. See? No bashing needed:D), unlike the many other Neji fangirls out there who are just in shock that their Neji, their mysterious bishounen, could ever be be paired with anyone as worthless as the girls in the Naruto series! - Well, I'll tell you something. I'M a Neji fangirl myself (how can you not be? That young man is so DROOL-WORTHY!), but you don't see ME getting mad every time Tenten or Hinata or some other girl touches him (though I WAS pissed off to see only him, Lee, Naruto and SAKURA in the new Shippuuden theme song. Where's TENTEN=O Yah, you're right, I'm a NejixTen fangirl more, I guess). It's just ridiculous how people view these pairings, though. Not just NejixTenten. With SasukexSakura, it was annoying, too. People hated Sakura because she was worthless (I thought she was a burden), but I bet the hatred was fueled even more by the fact that she and Sasuke were such a potential couple (even more than NejixTen, ShikaxTem, NARUxHINA!)!!! Please, people, if you're going to go hate a character, at least hate her for a very good reason. I don't care if you don't like Tenten as much as I do, but bashing her for the reasons I mentioned above? It's absurd.
