The Deceit of War

Written down by the stained hands
The truth that lies in the shadow of the deceiving war
When a plethora of innocents
Sacrificed
By the destruction made by man
That murders mindlessly through unopened doors

What once was an idyllic meadow
Is now nothing, but a great land of waste
Littered with lifeless vessels in the blood-stained dirt
And scarred war-torn boys crying over the lost souls
Of the Deceitful War

Even as the War comes to an end
Resolution is still afar
Those who seek redemption
Will find a difficult life ahead
For those who are lost between the bodies of Heaven and Hell
Have no life to head

Battles won, battles lost
But at what cost?
Futures incinerated by the flames of war
Leaving nothing behind, but the pain and despair for more

Only a single problem solved through the bloodlust war
As many more are deemed to inevitably come
To repeat the cycle of tradition
Lives devastated, scarred, and shattered

I write this down
Knowing it would be destroyed
To hide the truth
Of the Deceiving War
