Taking to heart the criticisms against Force Awakens for its unoriginality and plethora of poorly explained story elements, I have decided to do a rewrite of the Force Awakens, salvaging what parts of it I can to a more original narrative within Star Wars. The journey is different, characters underused are used, but the ending is the same broadly. Biggest change: No Starkiller base

Lord Vader felt a connection the moment he met the young, blond blue-eyed teen. There was unique boldness and stubborn pride that engulfed the boy. Even a familiar soft hint of a rosy, almost forgotten aura followed, one that Vader was forever left haunted by. Since then Vader vowed his life for his son. And since vowed a bond, everlasting and ever growing.

The Rebel victory is complete: the Second Death Star has been destroyed, the Emperor lives no more, the Empire is in tatters, and Darth Vader is a prisoner of the Alliance. The war is finally coming to an end. But Luke's death at the Sith' hands and the revelation of her terrible legacy force Leia to wage a last battle, far more intimate and painful, against her own wounds.

Over the years, and after all of Goku's disappearances, Vegeta took the Sons in and treated them as his own cubs. In his own stoic way, of course. After a few wishes to Shenron, made by Trunks and Goten, things go out of hand. Especially for Gohan. Tails grow back, instincts lash out and Gohan finally finds comfort. VegetaXGohan
