![]() Author has written 5 stories for Ace Combat, Mass Effect, and Metro 2033. "A psychotic is a guy who's just found out what's going on." William S. Burroughs "You'll get used to this place. You'll change. You'll understand." Joker, The Short Timers by Gustav Hasford. "There are three kinds of intelligence: one kind understands things for itself, the other appreciates what others can understand, the third understands neither for itself nor through others. This first kind is excellent, the second good, and the third kind useless." "It is much more secure to be feared than to be loved." "There is no avoiding war; it can only be postponed to the advantage of others." "The promise given was a necessity of the past: the word broken is a necessity of the present." Niccolo Machiavelli “One thing I've learned is this: Never allow yourself to hate a people because of the actions of a few. Hatred and bigotry destroyed my nation, and millions died. I would hope that most people did not hate Germans because of the Nazis, or Americans because of slaves. Never hate, it only eats you alive. Keep an open mind and always look for the good in people. You may be surprised at what you find.” Erich Hartmann DISCLAIMER: ALL CONTENT NOT CREATED BY ME, BELONGS TO ITS RESPECTIVE OWNERS. A very special thank you to CyberShockwave who's been a great buddy on here, keeping me going, time, after time, after time. The guy's an absolutely incredible writer, so check out his work if you haven't. Glad to have tagged along for the ride, pal. Best of luck to you, and thanks again. Flash Fire Project on indefinite hiatus. I Remember Something: A Turian Memoir of the Reaper War Chapter 2 is up! I've wanted to write a squad-based combat novel for as long as I can remember. From Ernst Jünger's Storm of Steel, Guy Sajer's The Forgotten Soldier, Mitchell Zuckhoff's 13 Hours, Clinton Romesha's Red Platoon, Evan Wright's Generation Kill, Mark Bowden's Black Hawk Down, to the surreal and fictional The Short Timers and The Phantom Blooper by Gustav Hasford, the monolithic All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich-Maria Remarque, Michael Shaara's The Killer Angels and Jeff Shaara's countless sequels to his father's work, I've read my fair share of tales about the harrowing experience we call "war". This story will revolve around a Turian Blackwatch(Special Forces) soldier, Caenus Pius, and his struggle for survival from first contact with the Reapers on Taetrus to the final battle for Earth. I hope my work with this project can even hold a candle to monumental works I mentioned above. If it does, that's all I can ask for. Metro: Sons of Lycurgus Just a more experimental project I've been working on. Sporadic updates and a possible expansion into a full-length story is possible. More to come later.
