I started reading fanfiction about a year and a half ago, and finally decided to try my hand at it. Will give just about anything a shot if I have enough time and the concept is interesting or I get a recommendation. Fan of far too many things to list, but my four favorite authors are Tolkien, Dan Abnett, Matthew Woodring Stover, and George R.R. Martin. I'm not going to bother picking a favorite novel, film, game, or anime. because I enjoy different things for different reasons, although I will pick my two favorite live-action tv shows. Firefly and Jericho. If I don't either have something useful and constructive to say, or love your story enough to favorite it, I won't review simply because a review that only says "It's good." without at least listing reasons why it's good doesn't help anyone. I play a lot of tabletop RPGs and have some training as an actor, so my writing tends to focus heavily on a single character and their thoughts and emotions simply because that's what I know. I'm a recreational shooter and am very heavily opinionated on a lot of things relating to firearms, although I try to keep the surly opinions out of my writing and only let the love and knowledge show through.
