![]() Author has written 5 stories for Discworld. Well, I live in England and I like reading Discworld books. I also like drinking beer, but if you cared about that you wouldn't be reading this right now, because you'd be on "BeerDrinking.Net". Or you'd be down the pub, since you're clearly far too cool to be spending your time writing silly stories about a circular world on the backs of four giant elephants which, in turn, stand on the back of an even bigger turtle WHICH YOU DIDN'T EVEN MAKE UP YOURSELF. And you probably don't wear glasses and you've probably got a healthy tan too (although I don't know if you'll call it healthy when you get leathery skin, so there). Anyway, the first Discworld story I wrote was called "The Trousers of Trouble" and it still sits unfinished on my hard drive. However, the second story, called "Grumble in the Jungle", is currently available to read on FanFiciton.Net (you'll find a link to it near the bottom of this page) and is, in my humble opinion, rather good. I've also written some more stuff which is available on my web site, which is called "Tales from the Discworld" and contains pieces of fan ficiton by myself and a few other people too. You can find a link to it just above this miniature essay. I've also written a couple of short pieces which aren't really stories, but I like them so they're also posted on FanFiciton.Net. The first one, "The Thaumic Oven", is about the invention of the Discworld equivalent of the microwave oven by Ponder Stibbons, and "The Magiboximp" concerns the importation of a Tamagotchi-like imp-based toy from the Agatean Empire. My latest work-in-progress is a Discworld take on The Sixth Sense called, obviously, "The Seventh-Plus-One Sense". Well, it is the Discworld after all... Finally, I'd like to say that I hope you like the little bits of Discworld fan fiction that I've written (you can review them too, if you like), and that if I've reviewed one of your stories I hope you weren't too offended by what I wrote. :-) |
