Middle Child Syndrome is when a child feels left out and is wanting attention. In a normal day in the Tracy household, it is John that is affected. (But normal never happens in the Tracy household). But there was a time when Virgil was affected. (One-shot)

Inspired by a video I saw on YouTube of a soldier coming home, and his son's reaction. These are snapshots of Jeff coming home or leaving work to surprises his sons through their lives. Starting with Scott at 5 and ending with Alan at 16.

A follow-up on my Fly Away Home series. A year has passed since the accident killed Lucy and left Alan an orphan to be taken in by his estranged father. It's Father's day and Alan doesn't know what to get his father.

Five times Alan took it upon himself to protect his brothers, and one time they protected him; or in other words, five times Alan went Ape on someone for insulting (or harming) one of his brothers (and they had to pull him off) and one time they went all 'over-protective-big-brother' on someone for messing with Alan.

Just because it's the middle of the night, it doesn't mean that all is quiet. This time, it's Alan getting himself into mischief, and it's up to John to sort him out.

It is the 9 year anniversary of the avalanche that claimed the life of Lucy Tracy and like every year the youngest of the Tracy family goes off on his own to hide from the survivor's guilt that has haunted him since he was pulled from his dying mother's arms.
