Poll: Would you rather read an Arrowverse retelling of the Avengers movie (2012) story or a Legends of Tomorrow retelling of that movie? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 57 stories for Pair of Kings, Mighty Med, Lab Rats, 2012, Best Friends Whenever, Descendants, 2015, Lab Rats: Elite Force, Henry Danger, Doctor Who, Legends of Tomorrow, Flash, and Arrow. I do not own any of the shows I write about, except for the plots of the stories and the OCs I occasionally use. Covers are made with pictures taken at random from the internet (so, I don't own the used pictures either). Name: call me Writer Gender: female Orientation: asexual, possibly aromantic Age: university student Country: Belgium Languages: Dutch (native), English, German, bit of French. Very basic Irish; want to learn Swedish and Flemish Sign Language Favorite… ...Books: Tolkien’s works, A Song of Ice and Fire series, all of Rick Riordan’s books, Harry Potter series, Ranger’s Apprentice, Hunger Games ...Musicals: ALL OF THEM! (more specifically Be More Chill, Great Comet, Les Miserables, The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and Hamilton with a bit of Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away, Rent and Wicked on the side) ...Movies: some book adaptations (not PJ!) Stardust, MCU movies, Disney movies; generally well-constructed action stories ...Shows: Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock; DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Agent Carter, The Flash (2014); Merlin, Last Week Tonight / 13 Geboden, Expeditie Robinson, De Mol, Wie Is De Mol?, The Voice Senior ...Music: anything I like. Mostly musicals and Eurovision. Current side-project that isn't writing: translating Hamilton into Dutch. Follow my adventure on Tumblr. Writing style Rating: None of my stories will ever be rated M. Romance description will be limited to showing affection and possible occasional kissing. Violence (i.e. fight scenes) will never be too graphic. Despite this, I am willing to write and describe anything as long as it fits within the story. Word and chapter count: In the past, I wrote the occasional one-shot and besides that, stories that did not go beyond 25 chapters. However, as of lately my ideas demand a longer story to be written that might have more than 25 chapters. Finishing some old ideas, most of my works will be longer in chapter and word count. Those chapters will be, on average, 2,000 words long, though it can up longer or shorter than this arbitrary minimum. They will never be shorter than about 600 words, though I have no arbitrary maximum word count per chapter. Characters: I do not tolerate OOC-ness from my characters. Still, sometimes the plot demands them to act unlike themselves. Unless this happens, you can trust I will try my hardest to keep them in character. I respect all characters, even those that I don’t like or those I hate with a burning passion. You should not be able to detect that I hate/detect a character in my writing unless another character does not like them either. You might be able to figure out who my favorite characters are based on how I treat them in these stories (idk why, but I love torturing them). Most importantly, not every story will have what qualifies as a happy ending. Alternatively, not every character will have a happy ending, either. These will be somewhat realistic endings, depending on how the story plays out. I am also not afraid to kill off any characters, not even fan favorites or the main character, or even the narrator. Nobody is safe. Be warned. Hunger Games: SYOT Tributes Balder Stein, closeted bisexual with nothing to lose (D2M, 17) for Ghost Stories: the 4th Quarter Quell by basicgay (pre-Games) Gaius Alabaster, mute Career (D2M, 18) for Shattered: The 113th Hunger Games by cjborange (pre-Games) Joule Merchiers; loved his brother so much (D3M, 13) for Broken: The 83rd Hunger Games by cjborange (placed 19th, Bloodbath) Arien Whicker, naive child (D10M, 13) for Shattered: The 113th Hunger Games by cjborange (pre-Games) Jaro Veldt; the living volunteering-for-sick-sibling trope (D11M, 15) for Broken: The 83rd Hunger Games by cjborange (placed 3rd, Day 9) Charles "Charlie" Gerow, the third Gerow in the arena (D12M, 13) for Whims of Fate: The 127th Hunger Games by CelticGames4 (pre-Games) Rachel Powers, the neurodivergent scientist prodigy (D13F, 15) for Ghost Stories: the 4th Quarter Quell by basicgay (pre-Games) Why I moderate guest reviews Don’t get me wrong, I love guest reviews. They’re those random readers who usually don’t have an account but who do take the time to give some much-wanted feedback. Even the negative ones are welcome – someone has taken time out of their busy schedule to give their honest opinion about my work. What I don’t tolerate, however, is guests attacking the author directly. There’s often a real person on the other side of the screen who may have baggage nobody knows of. So, guest reviews that attack me/another author will be deleted, mostly because 1) it’s hurtful, and 2) because it usually adds no commentary to the story itself (other than the possible “this story/character sucks” or "write longer chapters", which isn't very helpful to anyone). Then there’s spam. I don’t tolerate that either. It’s only shown up sporadically, so far, but in the recent influx of guest reviews I have gotten, some reviews had nothing to do with the story itself. I consider spam as everything that has nothing to do with the story. Even reviews that complain about a certain character that appears in the story (but that has nothing to offer but “X sucks! Kill him off in the next chapter!”) will not be accepted anymore. Some people, including myself, read the reviews of some fanfics to get a feel about whether or not they might like it. I wouldn’t want those people to be distracted by spam or attacks against the author. The guest reviews I’ve received will stay there. Any new guest reviews will either be approved or deleted based on the above criteria and whether I perceive it as positive or negative commentary. On an unrelated note, but still something I feel like pointing out: while I like the support and interaction, I'm writing these stories primarily for me. My main audience is me, but I still want to share my stories to the world. If you like it, great; if you hate it, also great. I can't predict which stories will be popular and which won't. Some stories I've written have way more views than I ever expected to and my favorite current pet project isn't nearly as successful as I hoped it would be. That happens. And yes, some stories aren't as good as I thought they were when I first wrote them. You don't need to remind me; I'm very much aware these stories are trash. Still, some people still read and like it, so I'm not taking them down. My stories --In Progress Tales of Earth-X (Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow) 30/42 chapters; updated weekly on Sundays Earth-X, the Earth so horrible it has no number. Citizens, resembling the inhabitants of Earth-1 and Earth-38, live under the strict regime of the New Reich, inspiring patriots and rebels alike. Sometimes they resemble their other-Earthly counterparts, but more often than not they are very different and are living different lives. Thrylomachy (Legends of Tomorrow) 20/35 chapters; updated weekly on Tuesdays Mallus wasn't the only demon that escaped the Underworld. The Giantess Periboea escaped and is planning to plunge the known world into chaos. The only ones who can stop her are the Legends, with the Olympians' blessing. But before they can take on the Giantess, they must earn that blessing. --Story ideas and progress “Angel City” (Supernatural) about 36 chapters; hopefully winter 2019; probably spring/summer 2020 AU – ‘angels’ (in this context "mutated people with superiority complex") run the world after global nuclear disaster (revision started; 33% finished) Lukas (Legends of Tomorrow) around 15-20 chapters; probably September/October 2019 A new member joins the Legends. Chaos ensues. Will be confusing at first. Based on Torchwood episode "Adam" (completely written, to be revised) 2186 (Legends of Tomorrow) around 18 chapters; probably October/November 2019 The Legends believe they are leading a peaceful life in 2186. Until John Constantine shows up to wake them up to the truth. (1 of 18 chapters written) "Avengers" (Legends of Tomorrow) probably around 30 chapters; probably March 2020, if not later either Legends/Arrowverse retelling of the Avengers movie (outlining) Untitled collab (Legends of Tomorrow OR The Flash) (details under construction) --Series The Incinerator series (Elite Force universe) - COMPLETE
