I consider myself to be a writer although I am not half as good as some of the other authors on this site. Whenever I start to write a story I always usually lose my inspiration about halfway through. I do read a lot of fanfiction though and am always willing to give a story a try because there are people out there with amazing talent just waiting to be discovered.

PET PEEVE: gender– bending fics. I am ok with the occasional crack fIc, but I can't stand when people try to take a male character and make him female just so they can pair them up with another male character. If you have a problem with slash then just don't write that pairing. Turning a character female just to feel less perverted destroys a big part of who that character is. Also, I am strong in the belief that gender has a lot to do with the core personality of a character. If you change the gender, you are essentially changing the fundamental being of that character into a completely different person. Ok I will get off my soap box now.
