One day we met,

Beneath the cherry tree,

You stood there with a bouquet of daisies,

Your heart calling out to me,

Though we were strangers,

Fate wove us intertwined,

We both made silent wagers,

Curious to what we'd find,

Again and again we'd dream to each other,

Yearning to be free,

Thus we grew together,

Blossoms falling through the air,

The days turned cool and crisp,

Yet still dropped away our cares,

As met lover's lips,

Blossomed did our love,

And true a love was,

Yet it was not meant to be,

Off to war my soldier went,
