After tragedy leaves Peter lonely, Tony steps up to do whatever it takes to bring his kid home.

Peter eyed the metal suit as it straightened to a standing position. "Did you break into my window to kill me?" The face plate lifted, and Tony's eyes quickly looked over the teen. "Christ, kid. It looks like you're halfway there." ... A wild night on patrol leaves Peter with a broken back, and boy, does he want to be able to move without dying. (He calls Tony Stark, obviously.)

Five years after the events of Infinity War Tony Stark is still haunted by the loss of Peter Parker so when he hears of new Spider-Man sightings he is eager to investigate. What he finds will shock him.

"What brings you to my neck of the woods?" Tony prompted, stirring the teen back to the present. Peter scrambled to bring the paper bag in front of him. "Right, yeah. I, uh, got a tear in the suit." Tony gave him a look of concerned disbelief. "You got a tear in my knife-proof, Vibranium-infused suit?" "Just, uh, a small one," Peter said. (That was a lie.) [Irondad fluff]
