Hey what's up? My name is Steph and I'm a grad student studying fan fiction online. Why you may ask? Well for lots of reasons, but basically I love reading fan fiction and I needed something to study for my graduate thesis so here I am.

So if I send you a message asking you to participate in my study, it's my way of saying "Hey, I really like your work and would love to get your opinion on writing fan fiction."
