Hello Everyone!

Over the years of reading some of the best literary creations here at Fan fiction.net I finally decided to try my hand at posting some of my inspired musings here. First and foremost let me give you all a bit of basic information about myself. I am a thirty-something year old woman living my fiance in in the sunny state of Florida. Though I am primarily a Whovian, I do otherwise have an elective taste when it comes to what I watch or read. Below is a listing of just some of the things that I enjoy.

Doctor Who

Doctor/Rose - This is my ultimate favorite pairing! Regardless of incarnation, alternate, meta-crisis or fan created selves.

Doctor/Rose/Meta - The only OTP I root for

Doctor/Rose Tyler/Jack Harkness - The second only OTP3 that I could actually see working.

Jack/River Song - These two would make an awesome couple. One Innuendo Squad coming up

Jack/Donna Noble - Watch out for the fireworks, arguments and make up shagging. Poor, poor Doctor.

Jack/Oc - Lets face it, Jack is great with just about any and everyone.

Mickey/Martha - A very good couple that are made for each other.

Amelia/Rory - Never a dull moment with these two. Their unconditional love, support and devotion towards each and their loyalty to the Doctor is phenomenal!

River Song(Melod Pond) / OC - Like Jack, River would be good with anyone other than the Doctor. Perhaps, another (fan created) time lord

Declaimer: Please keep in mind that this is my own personal musings on what I believe to be on the dynamics between the Doctor and his Companions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter. However; they are not entitled to bash me (or others) simply because my interpretations doesn't mesh up with theirs. Despite the spairings I support, I do love all the companions of New Who (and some of the Old Who), they are all brilliant in their own way but I also realize they are not without their own flaws. This is just me voicing the reasons why I believe that 'ships wouldn't sail.

Doctor Who

Doctor/River Song - Let me start off by saying that while I may not care for this canonical pairing in general, I by no means despise River by any lengths, truth is I absolutely adore River as a character! The only reason that I am listing this here is because I just did not feel like there was any real chemistry between her and the Doctor. Yes, the Doctor might be intrigued by her - feel a kinship with her due to being a Gallifreyan hybrid and her connection to his TARDIS; even deeply care for and love her even but I never saw any evidence that he was truly in love with her. Point being that River, unintentional as it was, trapped the Doctor in the circular paradox that was her life; thereby instigating the chain of events that took the Doctor away from the people that could have helped him the most and led to his more darker phase - creating the ripple affect that so scared the Silence (and his other enemies) into taking action against him.

And while they have an incredible rapport as friends, I feel that the Doctor and River's romantic relationship is entirely one-sided on her part and regardless of the depth of his affections for the Professor, his actions are primarily ruled by his obligations to the time lines and secondly he is so overcome by the guilt and remorse he felt for what the Silence did to her and the Ponds that he felt it was his responsibility/obligation to ensure that River led a fantastic life. Even if it meant living a lie.

Doctor/Clara - For the longest time this one confused me to no end because I couldn't exactly label what it was about this pairing that annoyed me so. Like with River, I do like Clara as a character who has undergone some rather interesting developments over her tenure - but on the other hand, she is surprisingly too much like the Doctor for me to totally like. The one-up-men-ship in the beginning was rather amusing, even her control freak tendencies were funny in addition to their typical banter along the way. And I agree there might have been something of a romantic spark early on but somewhere along the way (like in nearly all Moffat driven plots) it lost to the way side and what developed in its place was an affectionate familial bond. Perhaps not as close or as intense as the one the Doctor shared with Donna, but deep and abiding nonetheless on his part where I am sure Clara continued to carry a spark for the Doctor but cleverly kept it hidden until it died a brutal death upon the Doctor's regeneration into the 12th.

What annoyed me to no end to the point of pissing me off is that she remembered going into the Doctor's timeline to save him from the Great Intelligence; granted she couldn't possibly remember all the splintered lived she lead in order to save the doctor without it tearing her mind apart. But she was there in the physical manifestation of of his time stream, she saw all the different versions of the Doctor leading up to eleven but yet acts like his regeneration is something of a personal betrayal

Doctor/Amelia -

Doctor/Martha -

Doctor/Donna - They are like fire and ice, and fight like cats and dogs most of the time, but their loyalty to the other makes them perfect in their best-friend/sibling dynamic, anything else just be inconceivable. Both have insecurities that they try to help the other overcome; knowing just when to push and when to back down from the other or when a good smack is needed. While I could easily see where others could see the beginnings of romantic potential, all I can see is a deep familial bond between them.

Doctor/The Master - No. Just no. Hell no! At least not without some kind of buffer in between them.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel the Series

Buffy/Xander -

Buffy/Riley - Riley wasn't a bad guy, he just wasn't secure enough in himself and/or his abilities as a government demon hunter in comparison to the Slayer who unintentionally made him feel obsolete in many ways. Thankfully Buffy and the Scoobie manage to broaden Riley's (at the time) rather limited and narrow minded view of the supernatural world. As far as his relationship with Buffy went, he needed to feel needed and useful, to feel that he was making a difference rather than just being the Slayer's attache

Buffy/Giles - despite being her Watcher, Buffy considers Giles to be more of a father figure than her own biological sire.

Buffy/Robin - While there is mutual respect both professionally and personally, I never saw anything that could lead me believe a romantic interest could be plausible between these two

Inuyasha

Sesshomaru/Rin - While I find Rin to be an adorable little girl I can't see her ever growing up to becoming Sesshomaru's there is simply to much parental feeling for it to ever go there.

Sesshomaru/Kikyou - No. If she couldn't accept Inuyasha as a half demon, what makes anyone think she would in any way accept a full blooded demon as a husband/mate. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Inuyasha/Rin - Another pairing I really can't see working very well. For one, she is Sesshomaru's ward, even if she is living in the village to be taught by Kaede - she is still under his protection. Secondly, Inuyasha is his (half) brother and though they may have set aside some of their differences Sesshomaru would still see Inuyasha as being too inferior for his ward in not only station but given how he has treated members of his; particularly Kagome and Kikyou in the past with his immature indecision.
