Author has written 6 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Pokémon, and Harry Potter.

Hey lovelies. If you're taking the time to read this, then thanks.

Wanna know about me? That's cool. :)

You can call me Zee. You can Call me Mama. What ever you prefer.

I'm 21, and after dropping out of College, I spent the past year living in Portland, Oregon. However, I'm a New Yorker to the core, and it's my intention to return.

Likes:

The kind of stuff I like is entirely dependent on my current mood. But for the most part, I like to read. I like to watch movies. I like to watch T.V. shows. I like to play video games. (Not so different, you and I, eh?).

I like to spend time thinking critically about the nature of stories through different forms of media. I like to think about ways in which readers grow expectations, and how authors choose the subvert those expectations.

I like reading 'bad' books. I like watching 'bad' movies. And I liked to break those stories up to see what makes them bad. (Is that wrong?)

I like pop music. I like hip-hop. I like R&B. I like instrumental music.

I like the way that music speaks to me, whether through words or rhythm. I like the moment at parties or dances when everyone, somehow, knows exactly when the beat drops, and we all start to move in sync as a mass.

Loves:

I love my job at my bookstore. I love that I'm constantly surrounded by words, and the people who know how to manipulate them.

I love books that have solid colors as covers.

I love those rare little moments in life when you, whether with company or alone, suddenly realize that you're not alone in the world. That theres an itch at the back of your mind that tells you that this, this single conversation or thought, is completely and utterly transhistoric. I believe that some of the most beautiful revelations bloom when you realize that you're not alone.

I love the strange feeling you get after you've been writing for hours, when you re-emerge into reality and ask yourself "Where am I? What happened to the world I was just in?"

I love when a story touches you so deeply, that after you finish you feel the need to bring it to bed with you.

I love it when an author simultaneously validates and verbalizes the things you always believed, but never knew how to say.

I love my brothers. My mother. My father. My sister. My friends, old and new.

Beyoncé. Cuz. Beyoncé. Duh.

Dislikes:

People who refuse to believe there are other views than their own. People who believe that everything is fine, as it is. People who realize that things are hard, and that theres so much wrong in the world, but chose to ignore it.

Simplification.

Classification.

Hates:

I have a strange passion and love for things that I hate. Hate, for me, warrants just as much attention as love.

A note about my writing:

I'm currently in the market for a beta reader!

I only write OC's. Why? Because it's the only thing I know how to do. I love creating my own characters, and then put them through hell. I'll try to steer clear of Mary-sue type character tropes because, in my opinion, it creates a predictable and flat character. For the most part, it is my intention to show the growth of my OC. Perhaps i'll show their destruction. (Who knows?)

I'm surprisingly fantastic at missing spelling and grammar mistakes, so I apologize to all of those who have to suffer through all of my embarrassing mistakes. DX

Also, if you happen to look at any other story besides Requiem for the Lost and Forgotten, or The Terrible Twosome you should know that those are extremely early on in my writing days. (like, when I was around 14 or 15), so that's why they're so different in tone.

I'll be extremely receptive to constructive criticism. From what I can tell y'all are an exceptionally talented group of writers and readers, tell me what you think is working, where you think my stuff is falling flat, etc. You can either leave a comment on the respective story or, if it's a longer critique, shoot me a message!

Fangirl (Rainbow Rowell)

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

“Know from whence you came. If you know whence you came, there are absolutely no limitations to where you can go.”

“To accept one’s past – one’s history – is not the same thing as drowning in it; it is learning how to use it. An invented past can never be used; it cracks and crumbles under the pressures of life like clay in a season of drought.”

“You write in order to change the world ... if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way people look at reality, then you can change it.”

“It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive.”

Much love, Y'all.
