Am a complete and utter lurker who roams the HP, Anime, BtVS and X:WP fandoms. I like shoujo-ai, slytherins, and slash. Japanese anime that I like: Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena), Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, Vision of Escaflowne, Serial Experiments Lain, and KareKano (His and Her Circumstances). Currently branching out into other series.
And here follows a multitude of links.

Sites of interest:
The Harry Potter Lexicon is the best Harry Potter reference and resource guode on the 'Net, including character lists, potions, spells, and beats encyclopedias, quidditch guides, wizarding history information, essays and viewpoints, etc. Definitely worth a look.
The best resource for Utena pictures, cels, artwork, etc - just media all-around. Over several hundred pictures sorted by source.
Thought Experiments Lain, a really awesome analysis site of the many aspects of Serial Experiments Lain.
Mrs. Giggles, who gives wonderfully snarky reviews to Romance Novels, movies, music, and Reality TV shows. Very entertaining.
and - The best video gaming sites on the 'Net.
Anime Music Videos, where-in anime sequences are spliced to music. Very cool, and a lot of fun. This is a big branch of the anime community, but one site is
Yuricon, an anime con for those interested in shoujo-ai and yuri. Their site's very entertaining - check out 'The List', 'The Adventures of Yuriko', and the Essays, particularly the stuff about shoujo-ai in manga. Run by Erica Friedman, mentioned below.

Webcomics:
Megatokyo, a story about two guys who fly to Tokyo on a whim and get stuck there with no money. Great artwork - you'll notice the increase in skill throughout the years. Drawn in an anime art style. It starts off really shounen but it gets more shoujo-ish as Largo goes more insane.
Nowhere Girl, two chapters so far; about a depressed lesbian with suicidal tendencies who gets her life back on track with the help of some friends. Drawn in a more traditional art style.

Fanfiction related links;

Authors:
Erica Friedman, co-founder of AniLesboCon and Yuricon, who writes fantastic (mainly short) stories, mostly shoujo-ai from many fandoms.
Dreiser, who writes shoujo-ai as well, but also buffy and birds of prey stuff, and some hilarious Sailor Moon and Ranma fic. Find her at
Telanu, who writes Harry/Snape slash, as well as things from other fandoms (New Teen Titans!?). The series' Hard Liquor and Tea are very recommended.
Marvolo, who writes mostly dark short stories. Lots of use of third-person present tense to great effect. Recommend stories are: Postcards, Wind-Up Toys, and Heir though all are very good.
Aspen, a writer of very hot slash from many fandoms, though mostly Harry Potter, and a ! Secret Garden slash fic.
Ivy Blossom, who writes, among some Harry/Draco and femslash, the only Narnia slashfics I've ever found - Edmund/Bacchus.
Melissa Good, a.k.a. Merwolf, who is honestly the most prolific writer on the net. She writes Xena and Uber-Xena slash. I swear, she's written like 15 novels worth of material. It would keep you occupied for weeks...and all of it is good.
Rhysenn, who wrote one of the first and undoubtedly most influential Harry/Draco slash fics ever - Irresistible Poison.

HP Archives:
Fiction Alley, the largest general Harry Potter archive around. Warning - not a selective archive. You'll have to wade through a lot of dreck.
The Restricted Section - NC-17 Harry Potter Fanfiction. Formed when ffnet banned NC-17 fics.
Ink, an archive for quality Tom Riddle stories, hosted by Marvolo and Zarya.
Intellislashers, a group of HP writers, some of whom have been and will be mentioned here, who despite their name also write very good gen and het.
La Société des Femmes Dangereuses, a writing group that concentrates mainly on the Severus/Hermione pairing.
Recommended fics there are:
The Fire and the Rose by Abby & Domina. "A potions accident leads to an unexpected meeting of minds." Hermione and Severus are forced to spend 6 months in each other's bodies when a potions accident goes wrong. Mainly a comedy, at times fic this was so hilarious I was choking with laughter. Severus forced to undergo legwaxing with Lavender and Parvati was absolutely priceless, and his unique brand of snark was captured perfectly.
Pawn To Queen by Riley. "A somewhat Nietzschean twist on Snape/Hermione. The Potions Master and his best student find themselves entering into a partnership that neither of them could have expected, courtesy of Lucius Malfoy." Infamous for its depictions of strega, Slytherin power plays, and the empowerment of women in Slytherin house.
Roman Holiday by Anna. "On vacation in Rome, Hermione gets herself involved with Draco Malfoy and Snape. Things only become more complicated when they return to Hogwarts and have to work together to help Draco." This one's just...cool in it's characterisation of Hermione. Definitely worth a read 'cause it's just so much damn fun.

Other Archives:
Fanfic Revolution,an anime archive based mostly in hentai created because of the lack of good erotica on the 'Net. Motto: because fanfic doesn't have to suck.
Moonlit Nights, the best archive for Sakura/Tomoyo(CCS) and Hotaru/Chibi-Usa(BSSM) stuff around. Recommended are the short fics by Amazoness Duo and G.P. - watch the quality, it's not very selective.
The Shoujo-Ai Archive. Self-explanatory. Same warning as Moonlit Nights, not very discerning in quality.

HP Fiction at
The Sun Sets Twice Again by Prosperina. "When a line is drawn between what you know and what is true, how do you decide what to believe? As his fifth year at Hogwarts begins Harry faces a set of problems both old and new, but none so persistent as how is good, and evil, defined. And how does a person become one or the other?" Tom Riddle misinterprets a spell that turns himself back into his fifteen year-old self with no memory of everything he has done. He seeks help - at Hogwarts.
Lust Over Pendle by A.J. Hall. "A comedy of manners, in the Golden Age detective thriller genre, set in the year immediately after Voldemort's fall. Lust Over Pendle begins when a Daily Prophet paparazzo manages to take a sneak photograph on the beach at an exclusive Indian Ocean hideaway resort, and the families of both Neville Longbottom and Draco Malfoy find themselves Very Startled Indeed. "
Love Under Will by Aja. "In their 5th year, Harry and Draco choose to be with one another; but the story--and the battle-- is just beginning..."
Snitch! by Al. "SLASH. London, 2003, and two old enemies have become partners in crime. But the wizarding world is out to disrupt Harry's none too peaceful existence ... sex, guns, rock n' roll, drugs and bad language abound in a fast paced romantic thriller." Slightly AU but all the more fun becuase of it.
We'll Always Have Paris by Melissa D. "Draco and Hermione go on an exchange program to Beauxbatons Academy. They enter a rocky partnership to help each other make it through all of their classes; neither of them thinks falling in love will be part of the deal." This one is quite good - it'd have to be to get me to read Draco/Hermione, a pairing I'd normally avoid like the plague.
PoU Trilogy by Lori -
Paradigm of Uncertainty: "Nine years after graduating from Hogwarts, Charms fellow Hermione Granger again finds herself caught up in Harry Potter's mysterious life."
The Show That Never Ends: "The Sequel to The Paradigm of Uncertainty January 25, 2008...five months later..."
Hero With A Thousand Faces: "As Harry and Hermione's wedding day approaches, they have to get to the bottom of the mysterious reapparance in their lives of... Ron?"

Other HP fics:
The Book of Shadows by Lux. "The final weeks of Harry's seventh year in which he watches people have sex, skips classes, and tells Dumbledore what he really thinks." A highly original take on PostWar!Harry - artist, rebel, cutter, and infatuated with Severus Snape. Well written and more plausible than you might think.
We All Fall Down by Katiebec. "War, prison, madness, nursery rhymes. Hermione, Ginny." Short and very effective.
Ars Amatoria or Curiosity Killed The Cat (But Satisfaction Brought It Back) by Maenad. Short. Hermione finds a book entitled Ars Amatoria (the Art of Love) written by Selene Slytherin in a rather...Restricted section of the library. Inevitably, she gets caught by Severus Snape. The story which inspired Pawn To Queen.
Other fics:
Absence by Kirika, the longest Rei/Usagi(BSSM) fic I've ever read. Fantastic action sequences and truly epic in length (Almost 400,000 words). "One cannot control their fate... But one can fight against it." Writing quality is mediocre, but as I said, she really rocks at fighting scenes.
Straight Through The Heart a Buffy/Willow fic by Dan. Set after 'Lover's Walk' (season 2), has the best characterisations of both protagonists I've ever seen in the fandom.

And that is pretty much all I can think of. There are many more wonderful stories out there, but most of the rest are on ffnet, so I've put them under my favorites list. Those are all highly recommended as well. The rest of my favourite stories are at http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=363369&hal=stories, because ffnet only allows 30 of 'em, and that's not really enough for anyone. More will be added as I find them.

And my favorite characters are, in no particular order, from a plethora of fandoms:

Daidouji Tomoyo
Tenoh Haruka
Arisugawa Juri
Tsubaki Sakura
Kanzaki Hitomi
Mizuki Alice
Misty Waterflower (I like her English incarnation more than Kasumi)
Willow Rosenberg
Eowyn
Hermione Granger
Emeryth Zabini (OC from Faith Accompli's Walking Higher - Y'know, I just want to dump Tom off the nearest cliff in this fic)
Severus Snape

And yes, the only guy on this list happens to be a sarcastic, snarky ex-Death Eater who really needs to wash his hair. :p

So, yes. Now that I've deluged you all under an avalanche of links, I think I've said enough now. So I will finish, in an extremely predictable fashion, with a quote: "God, I pray for the courage to change what I can, to accept what I cannot, and the wisdom to bury all the people I was forced to kill because they pissed me off."
