Formerly one person, this account (lege et lacrima) is now in fact TWO people: Legs and Lacrima.

"lege et lacrima" is Latin for "Read it and weep", and that is what we intend to do with this account: make you read our work, and make you weep. That would be all those onions in the pantry, sorry.

Legs

Legs was the founder of this account, which, you know, makes her the cool one. Her main domain is the Harry Potter world, but she’s not afraid to venture into other territory. She wrote her first fanfic at the age of ten – shamefully, it was an OC-fic involving herself, her then-best friend, the Golden Trio and a red ball. It will most certainly never be posted on this website. Since then, however, Legs has gone onto greater things, including lots of stories about minor characters that no-one else really likes and/or cares about, such as Anthony Goldstein and Percy Weasley (who, incidentally, are two of her favourites). Being an opinionated young lady, she has lots of strong views on fanon and canon and the interplay between them, particularly within the Harry Potter fandom. For example, she despises the creation of “Audrey”, Percy’s supposed wife, and wishes that maybe, just maybe, a few people in Harry Potter could have stayed “single”. She also dislikes it when you pair Hermione and Ron with anyone but each other, and she really doesn’t like Harry, at all, which is evident in her writing. In other fandoms, too, she is very picky about what she reads, and tends towards the funny and romantic. But she can do angst, too, if she’s in the mood.
Mostly she just really likes slash.

Lacrima

Lacrima, the less prolific but arguably more attractive half of this dangerous duo, is quite clearly the cool one. Due to an almost herpes-like procrastination problem, she may not update very often, but when stuff is posted it’s generally a very healthy dose of humourous fun. And gayboys. And every now and then some unbridled angst. With gayboys. With a varied taste in fandoms and pairings (some of which are quite incriminating and have been dropped after a brief addiction, some of which are so obscenely incriminating that Legs doesn’t even know about them. Shh.), Lacrima never ceases to stop enjoying reading and writing and secretly fangirling in public. She too has her opinions about things fandom- and fanfic-related, but respects other people’s decisions to be bonered by some pretty whack stuff. Ignoring any early failed/abandoned, meagre attempts at Fanfiction (and a blatant rip-off of Animorphs as a ten year old, also abandoned and unfinished), Lacrima’s first attempt at proper pre-existing-character-playing-with was a Legs-fuelled dare, in which she offered to write something in exchange. While Legs’ bribery went to go on to be the most successful fic released by the dynamic duo, Lacrima’s got abandoned after about three and a half chapters. Huh, bit of a trend there. Either way, she’s now gone on to be a mildly constructive member of society, and hopefully won’t give up on any more fics.

31.7.'11 - I hope all of you are following our tumblr. Because now there will be stories on there about a new set of characters we've created. They're Hogwarts OCs, but they have nothing to do with canon so they can't go on this site. Still, we'd love it if you hop onto the tumblr and check them out. See below!

27.4.'11 - There is now a tumblr page where you can access a good helping of L&L-related art. Well, drawings that Legs has done for some of the stories. Who knows, maybe you'll even see a Lacrima drawing one day. That WOULD indeed be a rarity. Maybe you should follow the blog just in case... ;D
