Things I learned from the Legend of Zelda:

-Princesses are worth saving (and always need it)
-If you see a fairy, kidnap it. Then, stuff it in a bottle and leave it in your tunic for however long you need it. Then, when you die, the fairy will bring you back to life without complaining. That's just the way life goes...
-Rusty ancient tools you find in decrepit dungeons will get you everywhere in life.
-When you kill roving beasts and animals, they decompose in a flash of smoke and flame. Bodies and gore be damned!
-Fairy Fountains are the natural habitats for creepy fairy-queens partially covered by ivy with a head of scary-fuchsia hair
-As soon as said fairy "blesses" you, get the hell out of there as fast as your frantic somersaults can take you
-Feel free to take your time and play some minigames...the Princess isn't going to die or anything...
-Even if you don't hit the tuck and role after a massive fall, you'll still be able to jump, roll, and perform majestic aerial sword combos. Broken legs and bone fractures don't apply to the Hero!
-Even with a horse, you will never win the Mailman Marathon
-Everyone hates the Water Temple
-The Biggoron sword is much better than the Master sword, the supposed 'bane of evil'.
-Even though you can walk in them, the Iron Boots are still heavy enough to stop a rolling Goron in it's tracks
-And those freaky ghost-riders coming out of those paintings? Yeah, they're real.
-Teach your horse a song; that way, no matter where you left her, she's right by your side in less than 5 seconds.
-It's perfectly okay to steal a man's horse, as long as it was promised to your arch-enemy.
-Crawl into creepy holes and dangerous pits whenever you can. Who knows what kind of goodies and treats you could find?
-That buzzing in your ear is a "helpful" fairy
-To win a girl, you sneak pass her personal guards into her backyard
-Putting on a mask can mutate you into a different species in .5 seconds flat. Beat that, Pokémon freaks!
-If you wear the right clothes, you can breath underwater AND withstand intense heat!
-You can use a key only once, and then it is lost forever
-No matter how many items you collect, you can always stuff them down your tunic.
-You can heal flesh-rendering injuries, and lava-burns by eating the hearts of your enemies.
-Your sword will never get dull
-Being the chosen one, you will never have to sleep, wash, dispose of waste, or follow any other guidelines placed upon mere non-hero mortals
-To defeat a boss: Run around until you see an un-normal glowing spot on the boss's body or general vicinity. Hit said spot with whatever item you most recently acquired. If the boss suddenly goes limp or thrashes, continue to pummel its body with whatever you feel like. Repeat until dead.
-Your arch-enemy will always put the Boss Key in a blue and gold chest.
-If you can't do something, come back when you get a new item
-You can do just about anything with an ocarina
-Even though princesses have magical powers, they still manage to get kidnapped...all the time
-If you catch a bug in a bottle, it will asexually multiply
-You'll always be able to strike up a conversation with strangers, glean wisdom from from the most ancient of sages and win the hearts of the most beautiful women in the kingdom, even though your entire vocabulary repertoire consists of a series of grunts, gasps and yells.
-Blue Fire melts Red Ice
-Rolling is always better than running
-If you swing your sword at an innocent person it will just bounce off or go through them. Knock yourself out!
-If something says "hey" enough times you will want to hurt it.
-No matter how insignificant any thing you pick up you will hear “BA DA DA DA” (such as, like, a stick)
-Never go into dungeons without the old trusty "Fairy-in-a-bottle"
-When in doubt use a bomb
-Always grab the gold, glowing tokens that spiders drop.
-DO NOT hit Cuckoos
-Collect EVERYTHING that monsters drop; odds are, someone wants them.
-Ganon doesn 't like staying dead
-Your hat and tunic will never fall off; even when walk upside down.
-Stalking people after dark is a good idea.
-Even though you have unlimited pocket space, you can only carry 4 bottles and the amount of rupees your wallet allows.
-If an enemy weapon doesn't disappear in a puff of smoke, it can be used later on
-Whatever it is, it either talks, dies, or both
-If it sparkles it's probably worth getting
-Blowing up ancient boulders and rolling headlong into trees can lead to great monetary gain.
-A musical instrument will change the very way you live
-You can't be a hero if you don't wear a tunic.
-Didn't you hear me the first time? Don't upset the cuckoos! They'll pwn your ass!
-When the background music is suddenly being played by a pipe organ, you know you're screwed.
-Bosses are never unbeatable (even if they seem to be)
-No matter how long it takes you to get where you're going, you will always arrive just in time to thwart evil
-Link always beats Ganondorf (no matter what!)

Also, playing Zelda games can seriously affect or heighten your social propriety and awareness:

-It's a proven fact that women who play Zelda tend to be smarter and more attractive
-You know you're a Zelda addict if you learned how to read solely by playing "Ocarina of Time"
-You know you're a Zelda addict when your first song on the guitar was the Lost Woods theme
-You know you're a Zelda addict if you get the Triforce tattooed onto your hand.
-You know you're a Zelda addict when you solve a problem, no matter how big or small, and you hear BA-DA-DA-DAH!
-You know you're a Zelda addict when you have said BA-DA-DA-DAH! as your ringtone.
-You know you're a Zelda addict if you have any Zelda-related art inked permanently anywhere on your body.
-You know you're a Zelda addict when you buy a replica ocarina, AND can play all the songs by memory
-You know you're a Zelda addict if you actually own an ocarina and publicly admit it

Toph: One of the good things about being blind is that I don't have to waste my time worrying about appearances. I don't care what I look like. I'm not looking for anyone's approval. I know who I am.
Katara: That's what I really admire about you, Toph. You're so strong, and confident, and self-assured. And I know it doesn't matter but you're really pretty.
Toph: I am?
Katara: Yeah. You are.
Toph: I'd return the compliment, but I have no idea what you look like. Thank you, Katara.

Sokka: [after Toph has defeated the ships crew] Good work, Toph. Time to take control of the ship. Take the wheel.
Toph: [sarcastically] That's a great idea! Let the *blind* girl steer the giant airship.
Sokka: I was talking to Suki.
Toph: [beat] That would make a lot more sense.

Aang: Roku was just as much Fire Nation as Souzin was, right? If anything, their story proves anyone's capable of great good and great evil. Everyone, even the Firelord and the Fire Nation, have to be treated like they're worth giving a chance. And I also think it's about friendships.
Toph: Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?
[Aang holds one of Toph's hands]
Aang: I don't see why not.
[Katara holds Toph's other hand]
Sokka: Well, scientifically speaking there's no way to prove that...
Katara: Oh Sokka, just hold hands!

Katara: Sokka, you have an elbow leech!

Katara: [raises eyebrow] Where do you think?

Aunt Wu: [reading Katara's future] I can see love! The man you're going to marry!

[Aang grins and jumps around silently. Walks back out to Sokka, still grinning]
Sokka: [to Aang] Looks like someone had a good bathroom break!
Sokka: [Aang is helping to save the village by using his incredible bending skills] Man, sometimes I forget what a powerful bender that kid is.
Katara: What did you say?
Sokka: Nothing. Just that Aang is one powerful bender.

Ten reasons gay marriage should 'not' be allowed in America:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.
