Hi!
I'm a 20-year-old girl who is currently on her semester off before Uni. I live in Montreal and work in retail. I used to write fanfiction for FF7 (mostly- by the way, if you'd like to read any of that, PM me for a link) about four years ago and abandoned it somewhat abruptly because of schoolwork and other priorities. I never considered going back until the Hobbit. I walked in expecting entertainment and LOTR feels, and came out with an OTP (despite previously thinking that OTPs were rather silly) and an itch to read every single Bagginshield fic out there (I think I'm currently following twenty). When I started toying with the idea of a high school AU, I realized that resistance was futile and let myself happily brainstorm for a while.
The result will be put up soon- it's most likely going to be called A Song for Arda, which isn't the best title in my opinion, but I currently can't think of anything better. xD The title probably gives it away, but this fic is going to be about glee clubs, because I needed some sort of group activity. For a while I was torn between glee and rugby, but I eventually realized that it would be a lot of fun to work in songs and stuff- and I wouldn't have to bother learning all about rugby.
Anyway, enough rambling for now- here's some answers to questions I usually have/see for other fic writers in advance. If you have any more, feel free to PM me!

How often do I plan on updating?

Probably twice a week or more. I have work, but since I'm only there 20 hours or so a week, I have plenty of free time. It also doesn't usually take me long to write stuff. I stick down and write chapters in one go. Also, updating frequently makes me feel pretty pleased with myself. ;D

Which pairings will you be using?

Er, since for the foreseeable future I'm only writing Hobbit stuff (and only Arda at that), I'll only include pairings for that fandom: I'm quite partial to Thorin/Bilbo, Nori/Dwalin, Dis/Dwalin, and Dori/Bofur. In Arda, I will probably use all of them (but Dis/Dwalin will be one-sided because she will be much older than Thorin and Dwalin in this AU).

Will there be smut?

Nope. Sorry. Not comfortable writing that.

Will there be Fili/Kili?

See previous answer. I plan to keep those two in the realm of innocent brotherly feels in my work.

Any trigger warnings?

Eh, I probably won't end up writing anything that serious- but I might touch upon mental illness and depression. I'll put warnings before each of those chapters if necessary.

Can I make fan art/ write smutty scenes you skipped over in your fic/ write any other scenes not included in your AU/ etc?
