Author has written 6 stories for X-Men: Evolution, Teen Titans, Azumanga Daioh, and Sherlock. Anyone reading "Before the Fall" First of all, thanks for reading. Second of all, thanks for commenting if you did. I get the feeling that some of you might be confused by the whole Robin situation so I'm going to try and clear it up. Robin in my story is Jason Todd. I've seen the series and I realize that they make it pretty obvious that Robin is Dick Grayson. Personally, I'm not that fond of Dick Grayson. I mean, his name is Dick. It bothers me. Plus, I wanted to be able to use Nightwing. Hence, I chose to make my Robin a different Robin and I chose Jason Todd because Jason Todd was the angrier of the other two Robins and I like an angry Robin. (If you're interested, there's a great scene in one of the more recent Teen Titans comics where Jason Todd comes back from the dead, visits the tower, and has a showdown with Tim Drake.) A little back story into Jason Todd for anyone who isn't familiar. He was the second Robin. A lot of confusing stuff happened. Then he was killed by the Joker. Obviously I've retconned that idea to fit my story. So anyway. That's the deal. On to the rest of the profile. "I know you can be overwhelmed and I know you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?" - A Robin / Raven picture I had a hand in drawing - Another Robin / Raven picture by a good friend of mine. So, some basic info: I like strawberry frosted pop tarts. Unfrosted strawberry pop tarts are also good but sometimes you just need those sprinkles. I love to read. Anything really, but to get specific, I really enjoy fantasy and epic literature. And comics. Comic-wise, I'm into X-men, Teen Titans, and the Spectre. I don't watch a whole lot of television but I do play a wicked amount of video games. Video games are good for the soul, but rough on the wrist joints. Right now I'm playing Half Life 2, which is good but I find myself with motion sickness a lot of the time. Some more advanced info: I'm living the high life, crammed in the back of a publishing house marking up manuscripts all day. Which, is pretty much where I wanted to be ten years ago when my high school guidance counselor asked me what I wanted to do with my life. Look, dreams DO come true. The job is probably the number one reason why I don't update very often anymore. The other being that I'm working on a novel and most of my creative energy goes into that. But I still plan on finishing up my few stories, rest assured. If, you know, you were at all interested. Not that you had to be or anything. My favorite book is The Redemption of Athalus by David Eddings, followed closely by Orlando Furioso by Ludavico Ariosto. My favorite X-men is Rogue because she always has some quirky weird sassy quote before she beats the bad guy into a pulp with a giant pipe. Or a car. Or her fists. Plus I think there's something gut wrenchingly sad about a character who is unable to touch. My favorite Teen Titan is Raven because she's dark, moody, and sarcastic. Plus she has a cloak and cloaks are awesome. |
