K, so I'm no good at 'splanin' things. Especially about myself. So here's the Reader's Digest version!

My name is Lauren, I'm 21, a recent college graduate who majored in English with a concentration in Creative Writing.
I'm a book worm and a story freak. If there's a good story typed on pages or played out on screen, I fall in love with it.
Top 3: Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Attack on Titan.
I also love to draw. Especially characters from the stories I love. And my own characters.
Be forewarned! Most of my writings will contain my own characters playing the lead roles.
I like to imagine the different ways situations could have gone, and how the story would be told if one more character were thrown into the mix.
I love animals, I love music, I ride horses, I sing, I draw, I read, I write.
I'm really hoping I can create something wonderful for ya'll to read, because spreading joy and imagination makes me happy.

3/22/2012 Wow. Never thought I'd say "FIRST POST OF THE NEW YEAR!" in March. ...I am SO SORRY guys! I know this is taking forever, but please bear with me. Life blew up over winter session, so I had no time at all to work on anything Dec - Feb. But I'm almost done rereading HBP now, I've taken lots of notes, and I should be able to start writhing Chapter 4 by mid-April, tops. I really am so, profusely sorry for how obnoxiously long this is taking. I'm really wishing I had a Time Turner right now, so I could just go back a day or two and get the whole thing done and posted and such. But school and work and Otakon preparation also need doing, and there are just never enough hours in the day! I promise I'll keep working hard to get the story moving again, so please don't get too terribly upset. Feel free to berate me for my slowness, I deserve it.

12/24/2011 HAPPY CHRISTMAS! Chapter 3 is up! The monster is done, edited, and published! Go have a looksie! Are you exited? I know I am. Since I broke my own rules and finished Ch3 before Ch4 was even written, the wait for Ch4 will be... well, a bit longer than normal. 11/1/2011 Alrighty. I'd like to thank you all once again for reading (up to 101 hits ya'll ROCK!) and reviewing. Now at the point in the story where I need to do some research (basically, reread most of HBP). Thus, Chapter 4 could take a little while. Because of this, (and the 29 pages of editing doom that is Chapter 3 at the moment), I'm just going to start editing Chapter 3 and get it up once it's done. This in itself could still take a decent amount of time. Long chapter and all. So! On that note, please look forward to the enormity coming your way that will hopefully distract you all long enough for me to get Chapter 4 up without a huge, noticeable gap...

10/21/2011 Well! I lied last time. I've NOW finished drafting Chapter 3. I'd started typing Chapter 4, realized it wasn't going to be very long, and that it'd fit in quite well on the end of Chapter 3. As a result... Chapter 3 is 29 pages long, first draft. Ohmylantait'srediculous! So, look forward to that, huh? Almost done with the second edit of Chapter 2, which means it will hopefully be posted quite soon! I'll try and get it done before my birthday, so it can be my present to all ya'll on my birthday! (Which is this coming Tuesday, the 25th, if ya'll were wondering...) So things to look forward to! Yay! And if I haven't said it yet, thanks to all of you who've read my story. It's so cool to see all the hits from all the different countries! It just makes my day when I see someone's read my story. And a big super thank you to those of you who've left reviews! If hits make my day, ya'll make my week! 10/7/20011 Oh mylanta! Chapter 3 is done being drafted! Yay! So now I can start working on editing Chapter 2 for ya'll! Hopefully it'll be up soon! So...I'm excited. Are you? waaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

9/30/2011 Boston graduated from AIT!! (which for all ya'll who don't know, it's the training that comes after Basic for the Nat. Guard.) So! Excited! and Proud! Congratulations Boston!!! Alright, so the way I'm working through this story is that I won't edit and post the new chapter until the one after it is done being written. That way, I always have incentive to write a new chapter: 'cause I have a finished one waiting to go up so ya'll can read it! Alright, so! Based on that, Chapter 2 is in line for editing, and Chapter 3 (which I'm finding is getting ridiculously long) is in the process of being written. I'm thinking it might be done soon... Note: I place no time estimates here for you... cause apparently I can never stick to a deadline. So, thank you to all ya'll who read the first chapter and are waiting for an update! And an UBER Thank You to those who reviewed! Makes my day when I see I've got a new review.

8/26/2011 So... does three months count as soon? At least on my time? I'm so sorry... BUT! Chapter 1 IS DONE! And will be going up... in like... 5 MINUTES!!!! It's shiny new and edited... and DONE! So, last post came at the end of the world. This update comes a few days after the "great east coast 'quake" and a day before we get "decimated" by Hurricane Irene... Lotsa disasters goin' on here...

5/21/2011 So I'm placing another useless update on here on the day the world is supposed to end! (Yeah, if you haven't heard, the Americans think the world is ending again. Go ahead. Laugh at us. We're laughing too_) Boston never did get my chapters back to me and then he shipped off to Basic Training! So, I've been editing them for a while now, and Chapter 1 really is almost done this time! It's gone through it's first edit, will be printed out and revised once more, and then hopefully, by then, it will be interwebs worthy!

1/27/2011 From now on, please just ignore any time estimates I provide. It's become quite obvious that I'm miserable at time management. And so is my editor. Stupid Boston. Yes, that's what we'll call him, Boston. Because that's where he is, with two chapters still unedited. Yes, you heard right! I've got two chapters done! And half a third! However, they aren't done done, as they HAVEN'T BEEN EDITED AND SENT BACK!!!! Ugh. If I had a car, I'd drive to Boston and kick Boston in the pants. Lazy bum... I'll scream at him on Skype later. Again, I'm terribly sorry this is taking so long. Though I'm not sure why I'm apologizing because I'm sure no one reads this crap I put up... Eh, oh well. Hopefully soon. Cross your fingers. Oh, and ps: I got Coheed & Cambria tix for April! I'm so excited_

10/2/2010 K, so obviously, the whole 'get chapter 1 up by the end of September' plan failed. had some issues. But enough excuses!!! I resolve myself to try harder! (And make my editor do so as well)... I'm very sorry for the delay. I will rectify it as soon as I can!

8/28/2010 Wow. I'm all moved into my dorm... it's so wierd, not being home. My editor is still not back from Maine, I think maybe by Monday -- ish -- though he should be back in DE. Then, hopefully, he'll still have enough time and energy to give me some edits_; College. Wow. So crazy.

8/26/2010 My editor went on an unexpected trip to Maine, so Chapter 1 is still sitting in his computer waiting to be looked at. So Max's story won't be up as soon as I'd thought it would be, but hopefully before the end of September. Moving into my dorm this Saturday (two days away) and starting college on Tuesday, so life's about to get busy. I'm gonna work on the story as often as possible though!
