Yes, I know, another change of bio, but I just wanted to say that I have removed my short story, despite nice reviews (thank you, kind people :-)) because I felt it was kind of cheating to post something I’d already written several months ago. Not that it’s necessarily cheating when other people do it – but for me, the reason I joined this site is to motivate me to keep writing new stuff, so posting old stuff will just encourage me to be lazy…

Anyway, the motivation thing is working, thanks to you reviewers – it’s very encouraging to get feedback.

'Strange Friendships' is the story I’m working on right now (although I have another story in mind and might start writing that as well). As you see from the description, it’s about 6 friends who grow up together, and how their relationships with each other change and develop. I’m still at the stage of introducing the characters as children, and it’s moving at quite a leisurely pace because, well, life generally does for five-year-olds. I’m sensing it’s not the typical kind of story you get around here – most seem to be teenage angst, but there’ll be plenty of time for that when the characters reach their teens – they won’t stay young and innocent forever. Actually, I have the plot planned in my head, but who knows whether the characters will take over and do things differently from how I planned ... actually Alyson is turning out quite differently from what I thought, so we’ll see ...
