This is just a little story that started nagging at me about our very handsome pirate captain, and that little battle wound on his cheek. Somehow, a mini "Day in the life of Killian Jones" came out of it.

A bit of post- "Best Laid Plans" (4x16 or 4x17 depending how you look at it!) Captain Swan fluff. My version of the evening after the author has escaped - Emma goes to Killian to debrief. It's not the first time he's been spared due to the bravery of his enemy's woman, and he knows that such an undeniable truth must be burning a hole in what's left of the Dark One's soul. (Takes place the day after the events of 411 - please note, this is not really a Rumbelle story.)

She's spoken to him of the other man only once, listing him as a casualty of this ridiculous war she's been waging against too many unseen enemies. Once a year she's taken from her cell to get a medical check-up. This year there's a man across the room yelling at a nurse for hurting his ankle. Because of sneak-preview of Gold in a hospital gown.

"I don't even know your name." It's a weak protest at best, because she doesn't know his name, but she's come to know a piece of his soul, one mug of hot chocolate at a time. She knows what he looks like when he's struggling to hold on, because 2 a.m. isn't a time for secrets, and neither is the creeping dawn. Captain Swan, modern AU.

"I refuse to believe that stabbing a needle full of poison into one's self is healthy. Needles are for sewing, Swan. Mainly fabric, occasionally flesh, but this land chooses to use them to willingly put toxins into their bodies." Or: Emma takes a reluctant Killian to the doctor to recieve this world's booster vaccines. CS, heavy on the hurt and the comfort.

It is less than a week until their wedding when she calls it off. Will cannot quite believe what he is hearing when she says that she cannot go through with it. Oneshot.

Emma is struck by a sleeping curse & Killian's world stops. The pain of that failed kiss in New York haunts him, so when her parents ask him to wake her up, he doesn't know how to tell them it won't work. 4B speculation, sort of (I don't think this will happen, but this it what I'd imagine if it did).

Obligatory Killian-ruins-Will-and-Belle's-date-because-he-can one shot. Written before the episode aired and we realized that Rumple ruins all good things.

When a historic country inn in Maine is offered up as the prize for a writing contest, Emma Swan only enters because she's sure she won't win. But when she makes the first round and is invited to Storybrooke, Maine, to visit the property, she realizes the prize is much more than a building; it's a home. Based off real life events. Because Hook's happy ending would be for him to "…be able to sit at home with Emma and drink rum." No spoilers.

After Belle saves the town from Rumpelstiltskin's wrath and Killian's girlfriend runs off on another adventure, he cannot help but worry for the Dark Ones wife- and he decides to pay the troubled couple a visit. Post 4A I've been working on forever mostly because Captain Book is my most coveted brotp and I died seeing it realized last night. (pirate)

"We're stealing a boat?" Not that Emma had any room to talk, considering she still drove a car that she stole, its legitimacy now notwithstanding. "*Commandeering,* lass," Killian corrected. "Thieves steal. We're not thieves, we're pirates. We commandeer." (or, a fluffy little Captain Swan date)

She's fighting her feelings - too frightened by almost losing him to admit just how strong her love has really grown. Emma runs from Killian, and he chases her, in the aftermath of "Heroes and Villains", until she finally realizes she has to stop sometime and see what she stands to lose if she stays behind her walls.

She had this special ability to drive people away. As soon as she said those words, she knew within a certain time they would be walking away from her. Her heart knew Killian was different, but after getting burnt so many times, how could she still hold onto the hope. It is a good thing that Killian is there to give her the hope. Spoiler-free. Killian's given the perfect chance to enact his revenge against Gold now that the Queens of Darkness and him have been defeated. But, with Emma as the light in his life, he starts to doubt himself more than he probably should.

Roland has many questions, which only Henry could answer. Dimples Believer (Henry/Roland) brotp with Mills Hood Family feels (and a dash of Outlaw Queen).

An unexpected storm cause Killian and Emma to postpone their sailing date plans so Killian decides to find a way to spend the evening together anyways. While he is waiting to surprise Emma at the loft, Mary Margaret decides to have a talk with the man her daughter is dating. After Killian and Emma go for a walk to the docks and share some stories.

He counts down the time left until he's eighteen and can finally leave, join the Navy like his brother and get out of this damn town. She waits to age out of the system so she can live near the beach and finally have a real home. Lieutenant Duckling modern AU.

All the air is punched violently from her lungs when his first three words are a question, one eyebrow arched high on his forehead in curiosity, "Who are you?" When the Snow Queen lodges a shard of glass deep in Killian's heart, how can Emma remind him of who he is when she cannot even remind him who she is?

His lungs burn, his legs shake, and somewhere along the way he's landed funny on his right foot because his arch hurts when he stumbles forward as the curse lifts. Killian Jones has a way with words. Or he used to... but after the accident things weren't the same. An added scene for S4:11: Heroes and Villains that would have resolved Emma and Killian's arc more satisfactorily in my mind. I'm not sure on the rating, but mild kissing description so I erred on the conservative side.

Though it was probably only less than a minute, it seemed like Emma was upstairs for an eternity. He had come all the way across town for her, and it warmed her heart. "My little prince..." She kissed him again, burying her nose in his hair for a moment. He smiled, realizing he missed hearing her call him that, and wrapped his arm around her, squeezing briefly as he hugged her.

An old woman tells Emma a story of another baby and a blanket.

As soon as she saw it in Gold's shop, Emma knew who it belonged to. Now all she had to do was give the heart back to her pirate.

Hook is ready to die, but he really would enjoy the company of someone other than Will Scarlet. Emma, on the other hand, is determined that her pirate won't die. Even if that means she has to kill Mr. Gold.

Henry comes home to find his mother making her breakfast specialty, but not for him.

And so Emma and Killian are.
