I a little story i heard by a friend, 2 friends were trapped on a desolate island and had no way of getting off one of them said "we'll never get off this thing, never!" so the other friend says "pull yourself together, we'll get through this". they stop for a moment. they notice a boat. they scream and pant, yet it still goes onwards and out to the horizon, and again the guy said "we'll never get off, I'm stuck here with your face for the rest of your life" the other friend slaps him across the face and says "shut up!" in a clear and aggressive voice. his friend sits down and writes in the sand 'my friend slapped me' he stands up and starts walking with him. later the other friend feels sorry and apologizes for what he did. so again he sat down and carved into a rock 'my friend apologized for slapping me'. later that day the friend says "why did you do that?" and he said "do what?" the friend replies "you know when you wrote into the rock and the sand" then he stood up straight looked down on him and said "If i write things into the sand it will be washed away and forgotten, but if i write into a rock it will stay there forever". he drags him up, they hug and walk away.
