Spirit of the Free

What's good kids, this SotF. I am new to ff.net so show me some mercy. I have been reading fanfics since '04 or '05, actually starting with SocPuppet's classic, Set in Stone and Bloodlines, then gradually moving on. I've gone from reading pathetic super-Naruto stories, to actually appreciating stories for good plot, characterization and writing style. Now that I believe I have things down, its time for me to begin actually writing, I have an infinite number of ideas, I just hope I have the resolve to go through with them all.

I will primarily handle Naruto fanfics, the entire 'verse is very versitile, and has too much potential to describe, there's a way to break off into a story from almost every manga chapter. I might dabble into DBZ, but I only have one story for DBZ in mind, The Dragonballs in this story will be a non-factor, other things will push the plot. Didn't Frieza have an empire of almost a hundred planets, wouldn't Goku and Vegeta have to get through them before stomping on the big cheese. Could they do it alone? Certainly not.

I will also dig in a Pokemon story or two. I will likely be starting with my DBZ and Pokemon stories, because my ideas for Naruto still need to be organized, but, whatever, genius comes and goes at it pleases.

For those who care ...

I am an African-American male, born in Brooklyn New York, Bedford Stuyvestant. My parents arecompletely African. I plan to play as the star running back from my football team next year as a Freshman, I also do basketball, track, and forensics and maybe debate. I talk all advanced courses, so whoot to me.

Big shout outs to the better writers on this site, Sanguinarius, LD 1449, LT2000, hakanamu, mortalone and a few others, big ups to all of you. I will be taking some elements from some of the better stories, no plagerisims, but just certain small things. If forget to give you your props then my bad, but you still rock.

Naruto Ideas:

I have many plotlines in mind, none of which include super-Naruto till near the end, or I might do a vice-versa, you know, starts strong, loses everything and gains a completely new skill set.

I sure do like the idea of Kyuubi taking over Naruto's body, I've only seen a few do it right. How would a demon really react to being stuck in a human body; would he be happy with freedom, or would he rage in indignity at being made a human. And more importantly, I want to see if I can fit the Kyuubi's personality into the ninja world without being too generic. Intelligent, sadistic, malicious, cruel, scathingly sarcastic, and not to mention, in my mind, always looking for a good time. The wayI see it, for an immortal, boredom must kill.

Then there's the Naruto becomes the Hidden Leaf's weapon, that, I've seen some good ones, Cold Metal Blue and Cold Blue Edge are pretty good, but Lost Soul tops that list. One thing I want to try, is Naruto with a completely different skill set, and make it WORK. I mean basically, being a Jinchuuriki he's built for the way he fights, and even though I doubt Naruto will ever, or could ever, become an Elemental Beast, I want to see if I'm up to it.

And most prominantly in my mind; I want to delve into the Kyuubi's chakra. I read this great theory by Rikudo, God of Logic, on Naruto Forums. It really puts a twist on the Kyuubi's chakra maybe it has more to it than just being beastly, and maybe it could make up for the fact that Naruto can't become an Elemental Beast. Or maybe, after possessing Naruto, Kyuubi uses his new found intelligence and experience to unlock the full potential of the energy and truly master it.

I don't know, I'm lazy, busy and bored, but I'll get to them.

DBZ Ideas:

There's no way Frieza's entire empire just sits back as Goku, Vegeta and co. put the smack down on him and his elites immediately. Not too many major power ups, gravity training will be more leveled and not as HAX. Seriously, in the course of one spaceride Goku goes from losing to Vegeta to laying the smack down on Frieza's best, who were laying the smack down on Vegeta.

Pokemon Ideas:

Shadow Pokemon in Kanto, Sabrina is hot and mysterious, Mew is more than just a psychic Pokemon, it can turn into ANY Pokemon its seen before, I imagine that'd be pretty wicked in battle.

Stories:

So far, in the span of two weeks, I've written three stories, all of which have been deleted. I'm just trying to get everything out before I start my final work, which I plan on finishing and making sure even big writers read and are amazed with.
