Hey! After long years of writers block, I guess I'm back in action. If you actually care about this oafish author here, read my profile. The basics: I'm a 14 year-old anime fanatic( may seem a little young, but I am way more mature and grammatically correct than most "fAnGurLZ" ugh.) I love to draw anime and write fanfics about it. Making anime music videos is fun too, although I'm very inexperienced. I like my drawing style though...most girls my age draw cute "shojo" girls, but I draw in a more masculine, realistic style. I still need to sharpen my skills, though. I'm also what you would call a "band geek". I play clarinet and bass clarinet in my school band, participate in a jazz band and drumline, and recently auditioned for a really good district band( probably didn't make it though...there was a lot of competition). I'm not really a sports person. but I'm pretty good at skiing. In my spare time I surf the web for anime websites, watch AMV's and play Dance Dance Revolution( I just got it for Christmas, and I'm now addicted to it. Just don't ask me to do heavy mode yet!) Overall, I'm a pretty creative and unique person, a little on the strange side, but I'm still a nice person. My fandoms* Yu Yu Hakusho: Probably my all time favorite anime...however, I'm not really with the typical "Hiei-Kurama fangirls" base. First of all, I LURVE...and I mean LURVE Kuwabara to pieces. I don't care if all the fangirls accuse him of being ugly, stupid, weak, mean, bullyish, gross, perverted, etc. He's not. And his names not Kuwabaka either! I mean, I love the whole Reikai Tantei because they're all so interesting! How can you not at least like my honorable goofball? He's strong, stubborn, funny, loyal, nice, gentle and sexy! The list could go on...so if you want to stay on good terms with me, don't you dare insult Kuwa-kun! I'm also a big fan of Hiei...although it's somewhat an on-off fandom. Sometimes I love him, sometimes I want to rip his guts out( especially when he insults Kuwabara or when I read one of those angsty Hiei fics). I also think Yusuke and Jin rock, Kurama's okay...but I pretty much like every character except for a select few. That's what makes Yu Yu Hakusho such a great show...the characters, their relationships and the awesome fights. If only the fanbase could realize that and stop writing the craploads of Hiei-Kurama Mary-sues... The Slayers: Another one of my all-time favorites. Lina Inverse is the best heroine anime has ever seen! Her hot, fiesty attitude perfectly matches those giant fireballs! Plus, the supporting characters are some of the best, unique personalities! Gourry is such a big, cute airhead! Lina and him have the best relationship, and make such a cute couple. Amelia's flamboyant, happy-go-lucky personality and Zelgadis' angsty, serious persoanlity also click really well. Plus, you have Xellos( Sore wa himitsu desu, anyone?). The interactions between the characters make you feel good, and provides many humorous situation. Remember the episode where Gourry crossdressed and fought the gay dragon? That was laugh-out-loud hilarious. Plus, the ending of NEXT is probably the best ending ever. I'm not really a big fan of TRY or the movies. They're just not that funny or interesting( and the movies don't have Gourry, Amelia, Zelgadis and Xellos in them..except for Premium). Record of Lodoss War(TV&OAV): I just recently got into this and all I can say is...wow. This is the perfect anime for me, since I am a LOTR-fanatic. The animation and feel of the show is absolutely beautiful. I just love the adventures of Parn and Deedlit! There are lots of characters, and they are all very interesting. Plus, Ashram is one of my favorite villains because he has such a deep personality. This show never keeps me bored. Unlike most people, I like the TV slightly better than the OAV...the OAV was too short! Yet, I do agree Deedlit is much cooler in the OAV. The omake part of the TV show is just hilarious! Plus, I love Spark-Kun. However, refrain away from "Crystania feature"...it's without a doubt the worst anime I have ever seen. Excel Saga: An anime my crazy side can come in touch with. This is probably the most hilarious anime I will ever see in my life. It's VERY dodgy, but that's what makes it awesome. Some concepts are just laugh out loud hilarious( the puuchuus, Nabeshin, the whole subplot with Pedro, the miscellaneous parodies, Excel's love for Ilpalazzo, and poor Menchi). Heck, I think my friend and I are going to cosplay as Excel and Hyatt if we actually go to a con this year. I spent many, many hours laughing over this anime. If you love this, then you have to watch Puni Puni Poemy( which is just as funny and even dodgier). Revolutionary Girl Utena: Love this anime...which is strange for me since I am not a shojo fan at all. However, Utena is right up there with Lina Inverse as one of the best female heroines. Her style is so awesome and unconventional! The whole show is unconventional! It's so strange, but that's what makes it interesting. How could this show be without ChuChu, the crazy shadow girls and those three random guys who are obsessed with curry? Plus the duels are awesome, although sometimes the plotline gets a little repetitive and I hate the flashback episodes. However, the character development is intriguing and mysterious..especially Utena's relationship with Anthy. Although it's not clear whether they had a romantic relationship, they definitely loved each other. Plus, Akio is just...creepy. Love his car and porn-o music though(sweatdrop). The movie was...odd. It started out being really interesting, but it started turning into "WTF?" I adore the soundtrack though. Read the manga version, it's makes much more sense and actually has a plot. Escaflowne: I still haven't finished this one yet, but it's absolutely breathtaking. The plotline and character's are top notch, and like a good book, it always keeps you yearning for more. Plus, I am a big HitomixVan fan. I don't know how the show ends, but it's going to be very emotional. I just love this anime. I'm not particularily fond of the movie... they really messed up the characters...Hitomi is not a suicidal teen, Millerna's character desgin was just weird, and Allen was too "Hey, look...I'm so cool!" Overall, this anime is one of the best of all time. Evangelion:...where to start with this one. This was one of my favorite series. I could relate to Shinji Ikari in many ways and learned a lot about human psychology. Rei was intriguing, Misato was fun and Asuka was a bitch, but I loved her anyways. Then came the ending. All the characters I grew to love slowly vanished and weird, paranormal stuff started happening. I was little relieved by the unclear ending of the TV show, since Shinji had found a small bit of happiness. Then the End of Eva took all of those unique personalities and killed them in a strange, apocolyptic way. Just when Asuka discovered her strength, the angels slaughter her. The characters in this show were great...they just...had a very miserable ending... Ranma 1/2: My first "real" anime. How can one not love Ranma 1/2? Rumiko Takahashi is probably the greatest maga-ka of all time. What makes Ranma 1/2 so great is knowing the characters. Takashasi-san puts them in perfect, ironic situations that go perfect with their personality. The curses are especially hilarious. Ranma and Akane are a great, fiesty couple...although as the series goes on Akane kind of gets bitchy at him for really stupid reasons...I also love Ryoga/P-chan! His lack of direction is hilarious. My favorite female character is Ukyo. As for UkyoxRyoga...it would be cute, but it's never going to happen. The other supporting characters like Shampoo, Mousse, Kuno, etc. are hilarious too. Except for Happosai...he gets so friggin' obnoxious! At first his lechery was funny but now whenever there's an episode with him, all he does is ruin Ranma's life! The series kind of went on for too long, but still...it's so funny! Inu-Yasha: I used to be a really big fan of this, but not as much anymore. I don't know...it just kind of got too tedious. Anyways, since this is from Rumiko Takahashi, it has to be good. I love all the characters...and I think Inu-Yasha and Kagome's relationship is so sweet. I love Inu-Yasha more, and I love Kagome WAY more than Akane. However, the best couple has to be MirokuxSango. Miroku is right up there with Carrot Glace as being one of the funniest perverts, and Sango absolutely kicks ass. "Will you bear my child?" Ha. Plus, who doesn't love Sesshomaru? And Rin-chan? And Jaken, the little pigeon-toad-thingy(well he is kind of obsessive at some times...but)? Not a big fan of Kikyo here...at least not the one walking around on the show. If she really loved Inu-Yasha, why would she try to take him to hell with her and manipulate everyone, especially Naraku? The real Kikyo died, and Inu has to face that. The whole Inu-Yasha-Kagome-Kikyo triangle just got so annoying. Yes, Kikyo is a bitch...but damn do those fangirls butcher her personality. I hate dem' bash fics... Bakaretsu Hunters: Damn is this funny. Carrot is the greatest pervert ever. I mean, this guy gets it all! Chocolate and Tira when they transform are just...WOAH! I think he really enjoys being whipped. I'm slightly leaning towards CarrotxTira, but the damn pervert will probably get em' both..haha... I'm also pretty damn sure GateauxMarron have something going on...this show is hilarious, but I'm not particularily fond of the ending. I was waiting for Carrot make a big comeback and act heroic against Xaha Torte...but...he didn't. Oh well, that's Carrot. I still haven't seen the other series( I believe there are two), but it looks even funnier than the one I watched. Cowboy Bebop: When I saw that opening theme, I knew Cowboy Bebop was going to be awesome. It is. The action is absolutely kick-ass, and I love the futuristic setting. Plus, I love Ed! Her randomness is absolutely hilarious! Spike and Jet just have an aura of cool around them when they fight. At first I thought Faye kind of looked like a slut, but she ended up being really kickass and had a deep past as well as Spike. The ending to this show makes me cry... Trigun: VASH THE STAMPEDE! Words cannot describe how deep, action-packed and comedic this anime is.Vash is especially hilarious and Wolfwoods is pretty damn sexy...and Milly and Meryl are comedic as well. The ending of this one made me cry as well. Some people don't like Vash's morals, but I think this is a wonderful anime that is both moralistic with plenty of action. Rorouni Kenshin: My fandom of this is kind of like Inu-Yasha...I love the characters...but it kind of got too tedious for me. I mean, Kenshin is adorable. Who couldn't love the battousai? My favorite is probably Sanosuke though. When I saw carrying that giant weapon of his, "bad" jacket flowing in the back of him surrounded by cherry blossoms, I was just like," DAMMIT, HE IS SEXY!" The Shishio arc was the best...it was all very well choreographed...then after that I kind of lost interest... Other Anime fandoms/movies* Video Girl Ai DNA 2 The Lord of The Rings: I am an absolute fanatic of the LOTR...both the books and the movie. It makes me want to cry, jump, laugh and proclaim to the world of all its goodness. Tolkien is a genius, and he should be proud that Peter Jackson made such awesome movies out of his books( he wasn't 100 faithful, but that's pratically impossible). I lurve the fellowship...especially SAM! Sam is the best little fat hobbit who cooks po-ta-toes in the whole world! Frodo should be so happy he had such a good friend to help him through his journey( I cried when he left sailing on the grey ships). Plus, Merry and Pippin are hilarious, Gandalf is so almighty, Aragorn is a mysterious, bold leader, Gimli is tough and often comedic, and Legolas is cool...but kind of girly(haha...). Plus, I admit in embarassment to actually liking Gollum. I feel so bad for the poor little thing, and plus he can be pretty funny sometimes when he argues with Sam. I mean, the look on his face when he fell into mount doom was priceless! Love this movie. Other movies/books I also like are Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, the otori clan trilogy by Lian Hearn, any book by Daniel Pinkwater, and more but I'm too lazy too type... As for now, I've got a couple of ideas in fanfiction for the works...specifically in YYH. First, I might make a comedy where the Reikai Tantei get annoyed by a group of Mary-sue's(poor them!) and maybe a serious one about Kuwabara... Extra stuff* Go to this site...whether you are a Kuwabara fan or not, you have to appreciate it. The webmaster is awesome...if only she would update more. I feel so bad because obnoxious trolls always sign the guestbook! If only people would appreciate poor Kuwa-Kun and how awesome he truly is... |
