Author has written 2 stories for Mechwarrior/Battletech. I'm 25, Dutch, and I had an English-teacher from Glasgow so that'll explain fer the accent I use in my reviews. I like carsports (especially F1 and rally), 80's shows like macgyver, MASK, The A-team and Airwolf. Besides of that I love to watch detectives like NYPD, Tatort, Spooks and A touch of Frost. I became interested with Mechwarrior/ Battletech after I played Heavy Gear and was left summat disappointed with the lack of power in the weaponry. I tried my hand at Mechwarrior 4, Black Knight, Mercs and even went over to the RTS side with MechCommander 2, although I still think Ground Control is one of the best RTS games around My fic ACT tells the story of a merc in a socalled Spook-unit: officially his team did not exist. In reality his unit, Dodds Cobra's was the strong arm of megacorporation Warner Industries. In 3081 at the end of the WoB jihad our meanwhile retired merc has settled himself in rural Yorkshire, England, as his old unit drops in. Through conversations with old pals and new friends he relives his first way beyond FUBAR mission during the turmoil of the FedCom civil war. Yes that's right. It's a flashback story. Well, the possibilities of finding a job in this economical climate is likely as a Locust beating a Daishi: Not Very High. But still, I managed ter pull it off. I'm starting as a trainee for Sogeti, a Dutch IT-company. The bad news is of course, I won't have that much time left writing on ACT. But whenever I have a few minutes left, I'll squeeze a few lines outta my pen ;) |
