Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. When I was little I used to get frustrated when stories I loved were not finished the way I thought they should be, gaps were left, and characters didn't do what I thought they should. Without realising it I started to write fanfiction. My earliest attempts were spoken onto a cassette recorder (this was the mid 1980s) and involved Juliet Bravo. I've always been a sucker for detective stories. I used to write Peak Practice and Casualty stories - does anyone else remember Jude and Matt? When I discovered fanfic as a genre ("you mean other people do this too?") I read a lot of X-Files and ER. In more recent years I have been devoted to the West Wing, and the very occassional CSI. I'd like to read more obscure fandoms, including (non-slashy) Sports Night and L M Montgomery. Not so keen on slash (unless canon, or near-canon), and don't like anything too explicit. I've written some horribly Mary-Sue type fics, but I tend to keep them all to myself. I've written West Wing, ER, Chalet School, Noel Streatfeild, among others. Who knows, I might even get around to posting some one day... |
