Hello all. This is Neo-Pooh and I'm new here on fanfic. I'm currently focusing all of my writing efforts on FFXII for now, and to tell you the truth, I'm pretty "stoked" about it, so to speak. I also have a weak spot for sweets, such as honey. Bet you never guessed that.

A Mid Dalmascan Night's Dream

A new project! Kinda working in conjunction with Et tu, Asdalu?,since not all jokes or material I come up with are compatible for both. This is definitely Vaan and Penelo centered, and is fueled by my general annoyance at those two not hooking up during the game.Then again, romantic love stories may make a better story, but not as good of a game. Square Enix did a great job, and I give them full credit. Besides, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be writing this would I?

FFXII The Forgotten War

After wasting my life away on Final Fantasy XII, I noticed that armed conflict doesn't really have much negative connotations to it. I mean, it's great and all having no blood/gore in exchange for a wider range of accessibility. And yes, I understand that realistic combat hasn't really been a part of the FF series at all, not to mention any other Japanese rpg out there. All the battles, especially later on, involve either you buzzing through wildlife like a bulldozer or whacking away eternally at a near-invincible boss.

For such a wonderful game, I must admit, it does get pretty boring after the 20,000th wolf.

Nevertheless, I thought Ivalice could use a little reality check. Under all the pompousness of the clothing, the bright colours, the glimmering personalities, and stereotypical villains, must lie a darkness. I don't mean to make Ivalice itself a dreary place, but ultimately "contrast" is what I'm going for in this story.

I tried to be as historically accurate as possible (I even went to various Final Fantasy sites and studied the history of Ivalice), but I did add many locations and persons completely separate from the FFXII storyline. I have made a map of Ivalice including most of my story's locations, and you can contact via email if you're interested.

I hope you have enjoyed what I've written so far, and there's always more to come! A pat on the back to anyone who can spot all of the historical references in the story. I'll say right now, there's alot of them. (eg. Dionysius Solidor / Dionysius I of Syracuse, enemy of Carthage, tyrant of ancient Sicily...and so on)

Et tu, Asladu?

My new project, and I'm already pretty proud of it. Ever since Asdalu popped the "...is that Cockatrice from the nomads' village? Good thing we didn't eat...do anything strange..." he became my personal favourite in FFXII. This is my way of commemorating such a great Garif, even though he goes through some hard times in my story ;D
