The child arches her brow. "I didn't come for an autograph. Hockey is a vile, violent sport." She sniffs, and Derek's reminded of… "Hey, kid, where are your parents?" "My name is Serenity," she starts, pausing and eyeing him. Whatever she's looking for in his expression, she doesn't find it. "Serenity Venturi." Or, the one where Casey keeps the kid hidden from Derek.

Sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone. Derek and Casey deal with their parents divorce and their seperation. Will they find eachother again? This is my first story, will have a happy ending.

Casey's college experience starts with an inconsiderate roommate and continues into a room that eats her belongings and a best friend that insists her room is haunted. Derek's new roomie experience starts with a keener who studies before she unpacks and continues with said keener writing off every joke he plays on her to temporary hallucination. Casey helps Derek say goodbye to his mother after she dies and that leads to a mistake that will effect Casey. When she leaves and comes back 10 years later how will Derek react?
